It’s on Switch.

That’s pretty much all JRPGs, anime, manga, etc.

They’ve been “embiggined”.

I’m normally cool as long as the top 2 are VI/VII, But FF8 at #4 made my eyes roll to back of my skull. It’s a fine game, but it didn’t wow me more than FF9, 10 or even 4 (which deserves far more love). And Lightning Returns even being mentioned is an insult. That game only seemed good when compared to XIII, but it

To your last statement, absolutely. However they certainly couldn’t gotten more out of the Switch hardware than *that*.

Haven’t played it either, but I am firmly pro-PalWorld if it has even a slight chance of lighting a fire under Game Freak’s ass. Nintendo is very much aware of this game’s existence, which is probably the first Pokémon competitor to do that ever.

Go all in on VR or HoloLens type tech. There needs to be a fundamental shift otherwise it’ll be PS4 v. 3

We’ve had diminishing returns with consoles for a few generations now. Honestly I could care less if a game looks next gen, I want a console  to justify its existence by offering a gameplay experience that can’t be done on the previous system.

That’s what most consoles are though, unless they have some innovative new way to play games, they’re usually just prettier/ faster versions of the previous console. Like is the XBOX series X fundamentally different from the 360 other than QoL stuff and better graphics?

Didn’t help that many of the big next-Gen games were also designed for last gen in mind, like Cyberpunk. A lot of their heavy hitters like Miles Morales and Horizon 2 as well.

Exactly. Not to diminish all the hard work that PocketPair put into the game, but the #1 reason Palworld is a huge success is that their are millions of current and former Pokémon fans who have been dying for this kind of game from the mainline series. Both in that it looks like a modern game instead of an early gen

At least visually it looks light years ahead of Pokémon. The guns still seem out of place though.

George Carlin was without a doubt a national treasure.

A soft reboot without co-op?!! SE insists on tarnishing my childhood.

As promising as this thing looks, it’s still not the same to me without co-op. What made SoM and SD3 so memorable to me was sharing the adventures with my 2 brothers. That’s what set it apart from every other action RPG. That niche is still underutilized today and Mana could easily capitalize on it, but for whatever

LoM is both a masterpiece and a hot mess, which averages out to good IMHO.

The real question is: does she actually talk like that all the time? “It makes my brain kaboom” sounds like toddler talk.

I’ll continue to hold my breath for Xenogears, no matter how misguided that may be.

Mr. Rogers though.

This was my pick also. His mid-2000’s stuff is absolute gold.
