I’m not freaking out about this as much as most. For one thing, all the claims that this is Sokka’s arc for the entire show, or even just the first season, are complete bullshit. He literally gets it beaten out of him in the fourth episode out of twenty (and we know the Kiyoshi Warriors are still in the show since

Wow I didn’t realize the Critical Drinker was writing for the AVClub!

For me, I bought all the SAW X popcorn buckets and drink things because I collect merchandise for the series.  For huge fans, I think it can be another fun thing to collect. And for collectors of popcorn buckets that are franchise agnostic, it’s something they have fun with, too.  I don’t see the harm, really.

Agree about Abby.

Just a daily reminder that people don’t understand how many gamers there are.

By that logic all video games could be considered harmful and exploitive because a minority of players become addicted to them.

What about this is shitty? They are strictly cosmetic loot boxes that have no effect on a players gameplay. They are 100% optional and allow the game to be played for free.

My barbershop is also a for-profit company doing business because it wants to make money. When my barber picks up the mirror after cutting my hair, I tend to just say my hair looks good, without falling into a pissy little lecture about capitalism.

Jesus Christ, how miserable must Barsanti be to approach all his articles in such a butthurt way?!?!

I think this move shows that Lucasfilm will not produce more then 2 live action shows for Disney+ a year. This year we get Skeleton Crew and Acolyte, next year we get Andor season 2 and either Acolyte or Ahsoka, and after that will be the show that didn’t come out and then something new to replace Andor.

It wasn’t just a biographical about Julia but it was also about the Public Television channel. I was hoping they would do time jumps so we could get the creation of Sesame Street and Bob Ross. I enjoyed the Mr. Rogers cameo in the first season.

At least before 9 we had a sliver of hope that they knew what they were doing with an overarching story.”

Fingers crossed they’ll go waaay back, and set it in the early 1800s, and follow a team of investigators trying to rescue Americans who keep getting pressed into service aboard British vessels.

Do you have a point other than just splitting hairs? The controller shaking things up is still the system shaking things up. The controller is an aspect of the system.

Yeah these aren’t good predictions because they’re based on the foundation that Nintendo treats their devices like standard consoles but Nintendo sees them as toys so they don’t want to sell them above $300.

The whole point of the scene is that the heroes of this particular universe are all condescending pricks, which leads to them all getting easily killed. It’s not saying anything about the main versions of any of them.

They released one episode a day.

Considering his best work has been adaptations I do wish he back to doing adaptations. His original stories has been pretty generic.

Technically it always had ads it was just focused on Amazon Video ads so as long as these new ads just replace the Amazon Video ads then it really won’t be that bothersome

It’s just a idea from people either outright ignoring the story Marvel is telling or from people who never read Hickmen’s Secret Wars run and don’t understand what’s going on.
