Semantics. Rifles like the AR-15 might as well be considered “machine guns” given how much rifles have evolved since 1934. Definitions for guns, like the 2A, need to change to reflect the role they play in today’s society. Otherwise it gives the NRA a paper shield to use to avoid any scrutiny.
