Mac guy (well, I am professionally at least) here who doesn’t care about the pricing side of thing. I much prefer Windows server for file sharing, DHCP, and DNS - Apple’s implementations are missing too many key features.

Absolutely. I live in a rather nice, safe area of Los Angeles. I’d love to let my responsible, mature 11 year old daughter go by herself to the comic book store or pick up groceries (both within 3 blocks of our house), but I’m afraid to. Not because there’s any realistic danger to her, but because modest attempts…
Not as depressed as having children.
I had the original (cheap plastic) Green Machine when it came out in ‘76 or ‘77. It was much better than the Big Wheel because you steered with the rear end so you never needed to lift. A tight turn on the Big wheel and you have to take your feet off the pedals. On the Green Machine, you could pedal hard through…
As an American, I’m not a big fan at all. He seems to genuinely be into cars, but it just feels so awkward and forced whenever he’s in the studio bits.
It’s not about when your light goes green, it’s when the cross traffic decides to stop. Keep your eyes open and you’ll know when you have a green *and* avoid being t-boned.
The teenagers who lifeguard at our modest community pool check chemistry every couple of hours and keep things in scope with minimal training. They manage to do this with many more swimmers in a much smaller pool having access to none of the budget or the equipment that an Olympic swimming venue should have. Rio just…
Oh really, Vernon? Why pretend, we both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.
Yup. ATGATT.
In California, it’s still called punch-buggy. My bruised arm, regularly pounded by my 6 year old is proof.
When I saw it in the movie, my first thought was to wonder how you’d respond.
It wasn’t ever a fair fight. You guys never had the long edit schedules of the TGUK to say nothing of the shitty footage you had to cut with. Judging from the regular failure to white-balance, TGUS seemed to employ a lot of very inexperienced shooters.
So if you owned a company that had invested many years and tens of millions of dollars adding amazing graphical features, you’d simply put out some mediocre looking shit? “Look, our engine is capable of much more, but honestly you devs are pretty shitty and your customers are lousy cheapskates with dated hardware, so…
You’re missing the point. If this can be rendered in realtime, even without other game overhead and using unrealistically high-end hardware to do it, it’s still an honest representation of the engine’s capabilities when affordable hardware catches up to this. This is basically as good as it can possibly look with this…
Same here. I loved Forza, but just got fed up with some kids ruining my races one night. I did a little research online and the next week I was deep in iRacing. I have never once missed the shitty online experience of console racing.
Their design is never stunning, but it’s always at least quite handsome. GM, Toyota, and Honda need to pay attention ‘cause they’re all dropping the ball aesthetically next to Hyundai/Kia.
They’ll have to stop being the fundraising arm of municipal governments and will refocus all of their efforts on crime prevention and helping the community. Just kidding, they’ll just crack down heavily on jaywalkers and childrens’ lemonade stands.
Ya think maybe VAG is hanging on to some of their development money to use for other expenses?
Oh yeah, absolutely. I’d much rather an overnight road trip with my family in an autonomous minivan that allows the freedom to stop for food and restrooms than waste a whole day dealing with the hassle of airports and having to rent a car at the other end.
I’ll respond to your comment just as soon as I find a kid to help me get my rocks off.
