Why did they stop at those numbers? Did they first say "Let's check how fast it gets to 124mph," or "How fast can it go in 8.5 seconds?"
Thanks, that's the sort of feedback I'd hoped to get! Did you notice a big difference between the FR-S and BR-Z? I know they're supposed to have slightly different suspension setups, but some have said that they couldn't feel much of a difference.
I like that input. Thanks!
Doesn't electric make a lot of sense for luxury cars anyway? Torque for days, and no unpleasant gear shifts.
I got a BMW 3-series. Which is technically alright; I'd either get that or a 4 if I were buying a BMW. I don't know if a Lamborghini of sorts can be an answer anywhere, but mine really should have been one of those. The problem I had was not really having answers to most of the questions. Like, my answer to the dog…
Here's one question I have for people who've driven them: Are they really /that/ down on power? I've heard people make just about every claim about how quick they are, but with a six-something second 0-60, I just don't see it. I drive a 138hp Veloster at the moment, with a 0-60 of something like eight seconds and gear…
I agree. Top Gear times are closer to a "for fun" ordeal than anything ultra official. Plus, they only test cars that are road-legal and in road-going condition. Now we know what happens when you string up your Zenvo in summer tires, go out for a drive, and it starts raining.
Alright, so I live in NJ, right? Where do I have to go to stop this?
While it looks cool, the optional spaceball gearbox gets better once you replaced that plastic with a traditional leather shifter boot. designerbation likes it though:
It's great, because if you see another car at all, you know it's probably a cop.
Built in 1965 in a no-flight zone near the East German border to eliminate all prying eyes, it's the world's largest test facility and the only one with a high speed circuit that has a 5.4 mile straight. If you zoom in below, you can see Volkswagen taking advantage of that right when Google has snapped their shot.
This whole "thirteen deaths" thing reminds me of the guy from Fight Club. Chilling.
I've thought about writing an app for that before, but got stuck on knowing how to predict the lights. Is there a public system to connect to that will let you find that out? And what happens when you get to reactive lights that might turn red when somebody pulls up to the other side?
On the other hand, what if it was some 20-something who came up with the idea and just had to put it into layterms for the dealers? The ultimate goal is evidently "throw a cool party to sell cars," but if you tell that to 280 dealers, 279 dealers won't do it the way you intended. I know that if they told me to sell…
Did it actually run? No clue. Given that it was based on a Jalpa chassis and had that car's engine, maybe.
For a Lincoln, I see why that's necessary.
