Kara’s story is the saddest thing I’ve read on the internet since...probably like yesterday.

Yeah, that’s a good point. I guess it’s because he never had any sort of real sustained “dominance”. He was just good for a long time and that should probably be good enough.
Is Beltre really a Hall of Famer? He’s a career .286 hitter who basically just managed to stay relatively healthy for 18 years. He was the MVP runner up in an aberration season and was an all star all of 4 times (I know that doesn’t mean much)? He cleared 100 RBI five times in those 18 seasons.
Now no doubt, it’s a…
We don’t win anymore. We don’t win in trade. We don’t win with China. We don’t win. Don’t worry. We’re going to do the wall.
This one came back to bite the Cowboys because that trouble proved a false alarm almost immediately.
I’m somewhere in-between. I like collecting, within reason, because that feels like an associated part of the game design. Now, there are exceptions (900 whatever seeds in BotW) that I will just never do. “Grind” has such a negative connotation in gaming, but that’s actually a grind. Leveling a craft in a MMO is what…
2/10 - WOULD NOT BANG
My friends and I had taken a bit of a break from D1 with all of the other games that came out this year, but spent ten hours in the freaking BETA. We weren’t farming gear. We weren’t banging our heads up against a wall trying to min/max. We were just shooting people in the crucible for fun. And fun was had.
Can I assume that you are also a world-class athlete and arguably the best pitcher of an entire generation?
Or we could agree that some peoples bodies heal differently. Your call.
I do hope that they find a way to split the two in some fashion. It was frustrating at times in D1 that they would seemingly piss all over PvE for the sake of making PvP more competitive. But I get it - a game has infrastructure and code and rules and it’s probably not as easy as just going “Okay this gun works this…
This season of the Leftovers is pretty weird.
Yeah. Nobody looks at Gretzky’s 4 cups in Edmonton and goes “Meh, those teams were stacked up.” Nor do I think Gretzky would give even a bit of a fuck if they did. The idea of a “Legacy” is stupid as hell. I assumed we were well past the “But what will THE PEOPLE think of me?” with LeBron. I promise he does not care…
If dongs are supposedly up in baseball because the ball is wound tighter, than why are dongs also up in cricket huh? Explain that one truthers.
Oh yeah. The actual stories are typically cloying and seem like manufactured “feel bad for me” moments. But give the Tree Tee-Pee guy a loan and I’m a blubbering baby.
Not a movie, but I probably cry during 25% of the episodes of Shark Tank I watch. Not at the peoples inevitable sad sack stories, but when they actually get deals (even if half of them fall through post-production).
Doesn’t make it any less funny.
This is an incredible self-own. The fuckin’ first line of the article man.
Seriously. I want to play Portal 1/2 on PS4. I’ll pay. I don’t give a shit. I just want to play them again on my couch without having to find a last-gen console.
This is the best mansplain I’ve seen on the internet in a long, long time.
It’s the same issue that plagued the Penguins through most of the 2010-2015 playoffs (sans that one year where everybody was hurt). When teams like NYR and Philadelphia figured out how to extinguish Crosby and Malkin, there was no secondary scoring to be had. That’s how you score 4 goals in 4 games against Boston in…
