Wow, that’s a doozy of an update. So we actually have NO CLUE if the Sony/MCU Spider-Man movies will ever be on Disney+ with the other MCU movies. No Clue at all. I would have made further revisions to that headline.

Who I believe is the actual writer of this comic. Curmudgeon here, I admit it, but actors who get credits on these kinds of projects usually just have some ideas, maybe, and lend their famous names to projects for recognition. It’s fine, but I’d be (pleasantly) surprised to find out Clarke is actually doing some of

It’s easy to joke about the actual title, and it’s easy to joke about this suggestion of Snyder’s, which it sounds like he kind of threw out there but was never seriously considered by him or anyone else.

I see a lot of joke suggestions for alternate titles here, too. But can anyone think of a legitimately good title

Weird you couldn’t remember, since you’d just seen it half an hour before.

Confirmed: the Powerpuff Girls grew fingers when they hit puberty. I hope they actually address this in the show. Which I will not be watching.

Most of the ones that succeeded were straight-up, faithful takes on the characters. The ones that failed were grimdark spins on characters directed by Zack Snyder. Snyder thought he could do a deconstruction before giving us a proper construction of those characters.

I don’t recall any enforecement method other than the unspoken threat of negative academic consequences for not completing an assignment.

I don’t think there was a specific plan other than “tag along on adventures as the alien sidekick, like Chewbacca.” The way he was used in AOTC was fitting, botched execution aside.

We had to read this in school. I thought it was well known. It's pretty old but I guess Bricken is too young to have heard of it.

Yes it was. And there are a number of bad movies on this list. Calling it “essential” is embarrassing.

Experts like Fauci won't be suggesting that anyone go to a theater any time this year, and especially not without a mask. The time when they will say it's OK to go maskless is so far off I can't even venture a guess as to when. But it won't be this year.

I’m pretty shocked because Disney could have held on to this for as long as they wanted or needed without the demand to see it dying down. As a theatrical release it would be a guaranteed box office hit even years from now. But I get it, profits on investments cannot wait that long. And I’m sure they’ve done the math

“Local legend says that this is the site where a group of children disappeared many decades ago, but the generally reserved residents rarely speak of this event to outsiders.” Ummm, what?

I believe one is “out” sick after one “calls in” sick.

I like how her name is is Ray like the hero of the movies, except one of them spells it Rey and the other spells it Rae. Also that Rae was given a pretty ordinary real-world surname, Sloane.

Missed some of the best ones, IMO. The extinct turtle-like creatures. The Cyamodontids, such as Placochelys, and the Henodontids, such as Henodus:

You took another kid’s toy and threw it at him? Do you want some acknowledgement for that? Here it is: that was a shitty thing to do. Bullies suck.

Well, for me, The Silmarillion was the most satisfying Middle Earth book, and it was the story it told more than the worldbuilding, but I suppose those two things are very intertwined in the book. And I also think one needs to have read The Lord of the Rings first in order to appreciate The Silmarillion.

OK, whatever. Just don’t change the costumes with the capes and helmets, or the vehicles.

People’s opinions on whether this is appropriate for kids will vary, but bringing any attention to it invites criticism and I’m sure Disney will take note of any negative reactions and reshape their guidelines for future efforts.
