I thought the review was a tad harsh on what I felt was another sterling episode of a wonderful season. The firing of Lane was as heartbreaking as it comes, his desperate bargaining tactics followed by the shot of him alone in his office watching the snow fall was brilliantly done.

A devastating episode.  The look Don gave to Joan as she walked in for the partners call from Jaguar summed it all up.  Hope Peggy's story isn't over, perhaps she will become a serious rival to SCDP which would be interesting.

Archer done a brilliant vagina joke not too long ago.

I'd give the season a B overall.

I'd give the season a B overall.

Not quite an A, I guessed the general plot with the psychiatrist quite early on which took a little of the joy out of it.  The flashback to the classes being taught was excellent though, particularly things you can fry.  A strong episode after a disappointing one, which kind of sums up the season for me.

Loved the last shot of the group watching their friend live out their dream.  A fitting end to a strong season.

Never heard of the band but good luck to him/her.

Not much to say really…

Last thing I seen him in was a TV remake of the Poseidon Adventure.  It was unsurprisingly awful.

Might be worth considering Daniel Craig as the bad slice of the Bond apple, particularly given how deathly dull Quantum was.  Mind you we'd probably need to include Moore's last 3/4 efforts.  And perhaps Lazenby too.  And Die Another Day.

I'm not sure Everbody's Rockin should be in this list given that Young himself admitted it was nothing more than a giant f you to Geffen after they insisted on a more rock n roll album.  Should an artist arsing around with no intention of making a memorable piece of work be considered?

I've been on here before criticising season 3 of the show - for me there have been sporadically great episodes amidst plenty of meandering, occasionally amusing ones and the odd really dull one (last week).  I had a quick glance at the AV rating for this week before watching it and my heart sank - if it's getting a B-

Probably my favourite episode of what is, save for a slightly weak middle, a strong season for the show.  I've cried out on several occasions that it needs to show greater need for the development of its characters and so with Howard going into space, Amy and Sheldon heading towards coitus (surely!) and Penny/Leonard

"If you’re one of those people, then, that just watches this show for the laughs…I suspect this episode worked really well for you."
You know what? That probably sums it up for me.  I struggled to enjoy last week's heavy character development focused episode but I found this one to be rather wonderful.  I have only

A rather humdrum episode in an otherwise engaging season.  It is frustrating at times the lack of any strong character development or significant storylines but in general it still remains a pleasant if conventionally safe show.

Nothing much to add other than congratulations on an outstanding review of an outstanding episode.

I agree, the smoking bit was something of a drag.
