My only point was that it’s idiotic to imply that a pro ball player wouldn’t sign somewhere because of crime statistics, and you brought up Lyman Bostock as if it were some mic-dropping refutation (a guy that wasn’t killed in a street crime and wasn’t killed in Chicago, either), and I’m the dumbass? Okay.

Bostock was shot by a jealous husband who wrongfully thought Bostock was having an affair with his wife, and it happened in Gary, Indiana. Kind of hard to blame that on Chicago, and it was anything but a random crime.

If you have a computer and some determination there are ways around that.

It’s totally outlandish. They only got Di Maria because he was on the outs at Madrid (for absolutely no real reason as far as I can tell other than Bale was their shiny new toy). That turned out great for both them and him, incidentally.
