I’m 5'6", 180 lbs, and comfortably wear a 6-8 in most stores. My sister is the same height and weight as me, but wears a 12-14. Numbers mean nothing, it’s all how you carry it.
It happens. I’m 5'7" and about 145-150 lbs but I can fit into size 4.
I wonder if glamour can tell me which shade of lipstick I should get?
12.99? Are you fucking kidding me?
Yeah, I agree with that, I’m about her size and I generally wear a 10-12. But all the same, I don’t consider her “plus” sized, I consider her to be average. (Yes, for a MODEL, she’s “plus” sized, but she’s not a model). If we have to label everyone, maybe we need to start calling models "minus" sized.
I’m 5'6", weight about 180 lbs (more than Amy’s estimate), and currently comfortably wear a 6-8/S-M. No idea where she shops, because she’s loaded and I’m not, but I shop primarily at the Loft because I’m boring and their clothes are always on sale. I have no idea how sizing works, because my sister is the same…
When I worked at Victoria’s Secret in college, the creepiest customers were hands down the guys who came in alone shopping for their “girlfriend” who was, wouldn’t you know it? Just my size -_-
I get it, but if you look at her build, I was shocked that she’s 160. She looks 5'7 and 140 to me :/ She definitely carries the weight in a way I’m envious of.
This was my main takeaway from this, honestly. Why is this issue more than three times the price? Does it come with Tom Hiddleston’s phone number?
I completely understand what Amy is trying to say, but can we also acknowledge how sad it is that young girls (who aren’t plus sized) even thinking that they might be plus sized is considered bad for their self esteem?
I’m also 6-8. The other day this old man asked me what size I was and I was like, “Uhhhh...” And before I could say I wasn’t telling him he was like, “You’re about a LARGE aren’t ya?” And I was just like “............”
So not only does the booklet cost $12.99 but it also contains recycled content. So Glamour wants to overcharge plus sized women for old information.
It’s a bullshit assumption, however, as best we can tell somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of all households own guns (there are a large number of people who will deny gun ownership in surveying, but data mining by the firearms industry for marketing purposes reveals a different story).
Yeah, owning a gun shouldn’t say anything about whether the home is a safe one. I’d rather the kid learn a healthy respect for the firearm that remains locked away, and to become a disciplined shooter with good self control when they grow up.
“ A lot of women lie about rape”.
“Kesha’s no spring chicken. I mean she’s like, 30 years old?...So she wasn’t stupid 10 years ago”
Anytime you hear someone say “A lot of people lie about rape,” remind them that experts say 2% to, at most, 8% of all rape accusations are unfounded.
I often wonder what is so sacred about people that lie about rape vs people that lie about someone committing another crime? In reality, there aren’t more people lying about rape then people lying about someone committing another type of crime.
Well, no, you know what, unfortunately a lot of people lie about rape so
