Technically LBJ only fell into his lap once.He was already a Cavalier when Gilbert bought the team.Gordon Gund owned the team when LBJ was drafted.I believe Gilbert purchased the team midway through his 2nd year.

If Gilbert learned anything from the first go around with LBJ(and I wouldn’t count on that) he’d blow it up right away if LBJ walks next summer.Love and Irving would be a nice kickstart to a rebuild.Irving wanting out now obviously changes that a bit.
