Some of my own thoughts about the premier. First, I thought this was a really strong opening. Maybe the strongest since The Mandalorian. It may not turn out to be as strong as Andor, but already it’s better than either Kenobi or The Book of Boba Fett.

What The Sorcerer’s Apprentice had going for it was the magic battle sequences. Even with Nicolas Cage phoning it in for much of the movie, he still manages to elevate the material. Toby Kebbell as Drake Stone is really having a ball as Horvath’s understudy. The confrontation between him and Stutler in the bathroom is

I get it.

As long as she continues to be voiced/ played by Milana Vayntrub, “All hail her majesty, the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl!”

That kid’s got a future as an automotive engineer. If I were Dodge, I’d snap him up right now and put him through school.

does kind of leave you to question just how the hell the MCU heads are going to cook up a worthwhile Phase 4-6 uber villain.
