For those that didn’t realize it, this cover is a brilliant parody of one of the older D&D Books, Unearthed Arcana

“We’re whalers on the Moon, we carry a harpoon. But there ain’t no whales so we tell tall tales and sing our whaling tune.”

Shit, if Kermit and Miss Piggy couldn’t make it work, what chance do the rest of us mere mortals have?

Man. This is going to make for one long-ass opening crawl.

I thought it was in bars of such scum and villainy that every space pirate finds the good jobs.

The fifth and final season was garbage....until the last half of the season when they got into the Centauri arc, and then it became as good as the 2nd-4th seasons again. And the finale/denouement was appropriately satisfying.

Going to offer one currently in production:

I think it’s *Waylon*. As in Jennings. Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. Sigh, I hate that I know this.

This is only legit if they have a bunch of scenes showing that every time a character leaves Fyrestone he has to shoot the same three guys and a couple of skags.

Too bad he never won over Martin.

All the major SF tropes circa 1930-1990 in one 500 page novel:

Stick with Ciaphas, it’s the best series of book to read while sipping some Valhannan Tanna, and giggling incessantly.

Here’s to hoping the last couple of seasons of X-Files were a weird dream Mulder had after eating some bad sunflower seeds. The movies, too.

Call me when they put Babylon 5 back on.

Now playing

“If you go to Z’Ha’Dum, you will die.”

I often use Welsh for passwords. Even Shakespeare’s monkeys would take a while to randomly pick *those* out.

Hmmm. Good idea. Here ya go, quick and dirty.

I live about 45 minutes away from Vulcan, Alberta, which is a pretty standard small town on the Canadian prairie, in the middle of farm country. You know: wide open spaces, cattle, grain elevators, wheat and canola.
