The Malazan Book of the Fallen.

This is a bummer. I love so many comedians in this cast, I was hoping it would be a laugh riot.

I wonder if the bad tea is better?

Honestly, my bad. I get defensive sometimes when people go on about "PC culture" or whatever. Especially in regard to Doctor Who, for which representation has been its single biggest issue in recent years and which has only benefited from exploring issues of race, gender, or orientation.

I think the line was more in reference to the fact that Simm's Master succeeded (until everything was reversed) in two planet wide genocide / conquer plots in two stories. Much larger scale in his war crimes than previous Masters.

I couldn't disagree more about the Mondas Cybermen. This episode made the Cybermen scary for the first time ever. Instead of big, goofy, robo-zombies stomping around and spouting cringeworthy dialogue, they were surgery patients, swaddled in gauze, wired into life support. Even without the nostalgia, they made the

Oh, someone took issue with something that doesn't bother you personally? That must be hard for you.

I mean, Doctor Who canon is essentially held together with string and bubblegum, but I don't know if that particular moment counts as a plot hole. We already saw his involvement in the 50th, what narrative benefit is there for seeing it again? I mean, it's established that we don't see all the Doctor's adventures, so

I wouldn't think the show has anything to gain by revisiting that particular scene. It was just a fan service cameo in an episode that was (with no disrespect intended) all about fan service. The Doctor isn't going to regenerate into an old Tom Baker lookalike sometime down the road to explain the curator either. The

"The reveal that Razor was actually the Master doesn't have as much impact if you haven't watched every single episode in which he appears"

Oh God this guy has been coming out of the woodwork ever since the lid was blown off Trump's White House implosion. He spent the primaries being the disappointed dad, never endorsed Trump, and now he's popping up on the internet being hip af. This douche is going to be our president in three and a half years, isn't he?

They're starting to change. Are you?

Their second album is crazy good too. Just not… radio

It has a sort of a meta-fictional element to it that makes it very broad in terms of what kind of stories it can tell. The main character (Dream / Morpheus) is essentially the god of stories, and as such any and every story in the universe is part of his domain and can be included into the broader mythos which leads

"…undercooked narratives that favor characterization over airtight plotting."

Well to be fair, it's hard to say what "usually" happens since it's only happened once so far. But it doesn't seem super likely to me that we'll get a new show runner and a new Doctor (and presumably a new design and narrative tone as well as a result) but keep the same companion.

Honestly he idea of a gay female character meeting the Doctor as a man and then falling for the Doctor as a woman seems just a bit too risqué for Doctor Who. And to be honest, I don't know that they'd be able to handle it with the nuance that it deserves and so many different groups of people would end up being upset

I can't help but compare every episode of Doctor Who I see to every other Doctor Who episode I've ever seen. And for me, alien of the week plot aside, this episode was just so reminiscent of "Rose." Bill even feels like a throwback to Rose, especially with her name which really brings Billie Piper to mind.

I totally get why the scheduling for Debating Doctor Who can't work out full time, considering it's basically just a pet project that probably takes way too much time to put together and probably costs money as well… But I'd love to see Alasdair and Caroline get back together to send off Mr. Capaldi this year. It

IMO He's an above average stand up comic, fun to watch but not world changing. But his show Louie is amazing and really in a class of its own.
