I believe you’re the first other Quad-Cities resident I’ve encountered in all my years on here, and especially from Davenport no less lol. Awesome!
Excellent color choice!
Where in IA? Davenport here.
I love that green. I see your posts on Oppo and other than the pics of your Equinox, I can’t say I’ve ever seen another green one in their 13 years of existence, even though for about 7 or so years the 1st gens were super common around here (Davenport, IA).
What do you dislike about the transmission? I ask because I’m really interested in getting a later Explorer SportTrac when I finally decide to sell my current truck.
I absolutely agree on the ‘14-’15 Silverado: That was such a damn handsome, clean design.
That’s Jalopnik in a nutshell.
This post needs more recognition.
Spot on.
This has been my argument for years and years. It’s nice to see that someone else gets it.
Except the majority of Jalopnik are “fans”, not “customers”.
This is an awesome article. I’m sad that Mr. Bobbitt Jr. had to endure being homeless, but what a wonderful, selfless act he did for Ms. McClure, and what an amazing job she did to help him pick his life back up.
NSX.
Not only easier, but there’s also no revenue to be generated by stopping/solving real crime...
I absolutely agree and share the same thought. I really wish Ford would make a sedan based off the Mustang platform, because that would be in my driveway in short order.
Where in IA? (Lifelong Iowan here (Davenport))
I could see that, although I’d be comfortable in saying I don’t think you’d be any happier or more entertained in the Sport over your Subaru. It’s quick (mid-14's 1/4 mile for reference), but it’s still a FWD automatic, so other than when you’re doing full-throttle romps or enjoying a nice twisty backroad, it’s not…
Oh believe me, the Sport is a great DD (I own a ‘12 FWD). It’s comfy, looks aggressive without looking boy-racerish, and is plenty quick for what it is.
That’s my only beef with the whole “Eco”boost-thing: unless you’re driving downhill, rarely are the turbos out of boost, which means real-world efficiency numbers are gonna be well off from the EPA estimates.
