It really is. There are some people I just had to straight up stop talking to because they refuse to see it that way. The thing that gets me about the ones in my age group and younger are that so many of them are like “Oh but I’m socially liberal, though! I just vote republican for economic reasons!”

It's not about 'feeling good'. Those people don't want the help; they want to stew in their hatred and burn the world down. It's absurd to say they should be catered to. Do what would help everyone and it helps them too. Do what helps them and it fucks over everyone else. As simple as that.

Why boo fucking hoo? Because that is what these same racist piece of shit said to POC when we talked about our issues. When people talked about the difficulty of finding jobs after the factories they worked in closed up. Boo fucking hoo was their reply. When Black people talked about redlining, institutional racism,

Hour shows are pretty demanding for me these days. I’m into Barry at the moment, mainly because it’s the tightest half-hour of truly intense TV I’ve seen in quite a while. And that’s a full 30 minutes, not 23 because it’s been cut down for syndication.

Athens, Ohio randomly has a Taco Johns and it was my go to spot during college. Now living in Wisconsin and there is a random one on I-94 that I stop at every time I visit family in Minnesota. Seems like I should take it upon myself to bring a few locations to SE Wisconsin and rake in the profits.

As a pagan who walks the path of the old Nordic gods, I am appalled at this asshat and his claim to this religious path. The pagans I know, the -Nordic- pagans I know, do not at all subscribe to white supremacy in any shape or form, and we actively speak out against people claiming this and claiming that the old

You are entirely correct. 95% of us won’t be rich. And really, that’s not a bad thing. Wealth changes how you see the world, distances you from the rest of society, and honestly, it shouldn’t be our priority anyway.

But considering how society plays up being rich and how the super wealthy are making things a lot more

Ok, late 90s, that’s fair. Once CD burners were a thing, it was like a whole new universe opened up! I hated how limited they were, though. 74 minutes? I had gotten spoiled by 90 minute cassettes (and even 110s, but those things snapped like thread so easily), and had a bitch of a time trying to get my brain to think

“....a commercialization of Riot Grrrl rage”

Yuck, never liked her music and her videos made me cringe. Course I was a Dee-lite, Digable Planets, Bjork kinda girl...I like my angst with creativity and a beat.

I have to track that down.  Thanks for the tip!

Another genius artist, George Pérez, had to announce his retirement earlier this year due to health issues. It seems challenging for most to keep doing as they get older, but appreciate how much they have given us for so long.

Hellboy is a ton of fun, but my favorite Mignola project is still from when I first discovered his art back in 1985 (old nerd here.)

And speaking of Hitler, the problem with most superheroes being depicted in that war is why they didn’t kill or capture him. I can understand with Captain America who is very strong but still very human, but Diana is a demi-god (though that she was alive during WW2 still means this is an issue, but not one they have

BRING BACK PAINTED MOVIE POSTERS!!!

I am growing more and more embarrassed trying to explain something so basic to someone who either can’t grasp it or (more likely) doesn’t want to acknowledge something that doesn’t fit his narrative, but here goes...in his “manifesto” (LOL), the murderer acknowledges Trump as a “symbol of renewed white identity and

I felt Nocenti’s Daredevil run was quite refreshing and really hit its stride when she was with J.R.jr. But since it was coming off the Miller run and was released during the depths of mutant mania I can see why it largely disappeared from geekdom’s collective memory

Gun sanctuaries are beautiful places where the guns roam free and can play in the grass. I remember visiting one when I was young, there were flocks of Glocks shooting at each other for fun and I even saw a long barrel 12-gauge with a brood of little sawed-off shotguns. Keeping our guns safe and protected is so

Millennials absolutely have it worse than Gen X. The Xers were screwed, no doubt. But the millennials are on track to be the first generation in American history to be actually worse off than their parents, and the problems you mentioned are simply exponentially worse for millennials than for Xers.
