My first car - an ‘89 Buick Century. The damn thing had a mind of it’s own, the ECU would randomly go out - the problem was, when it did the car accelerated/idled at like 2500-3k rpms. So... common failure mode was sitting at a red light, and BAM the car tries to accelerate you into traffic....

I can’t unsee this - thank you.

Yes you should. No there isn’t on the INVOICE, but the dealers get rebates after the fact based on volume so that they can enjoy playing the invoice game.

Thats why I think dealerships should die.

Why would you assume that? My white midwestern wife tried to get our stroller back and it didn’t work. They told us to go wait at the bag claim like everyone else. She got curt with them, they got curt back. We went and waited like everyone else.

Or being black? From the accounts the pilot never made mention of it?

This is awesome - I worked for Clarion in the early 2000's - great company and great people there - glad to see the work going to benefit charity! Great job gang!

I don’t even want to know what that cost. But kudos to the guys doing it - looks like a quality job and that they care about their work - that is HARD to come by these days. Great jobs guys.

I remember a story YEARS back now. Like early 00's. A kid was street racing and was impaled (think the picture above but straight through the drivers seat). Didn’t stand a chance. The parents were suing back then for changes, but if I recall he was going well over 100mph when he impacted.

I worked at a steel mill several years ago. Apparently a company was awarded a contract for like a CRAZY amount of these steel barriers, used cheaper steel AND changed the design without asking and it caused this problem. There were lawsuits and most states are in the process of replacing the imapling stuff...

Targa top?!?!?!! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

I still have a scar on my hand from using a solder iron under the dash of one of these to install a remote start at Best Buy circa 2000ish.....

Subaru Legacy GT late model. Under 15 is doable. Warranty - buy a 3rd party. 5 or 6 speed manual depending on year - turbo, and AWD.

The local toyota dealership went no-haggle a while back. When I bought my Prius C years back the best they would do was 1k off sticker. I flew to kansas and bought a brand new one from a dealer there, who sold it for roughly 4k off sticker + gave me 0% for 5 years from Toyota. I get that regional dealers get different

This.

Not my picture, but a guy round here drives one of these: SAAB 9-7X....

less than an hour away... must.... resist.....

They are superior because in 1-2 years when all of the mentioned cloud providers change their API’s juuuuust enough to make this thing stop working you then get the privilege to spend ANOTHER $300 to buy a new model......

Grabbed my rental today - they had 4 when I was there. I had a cheapie rental for the first 2 days, and the AMG for the weekend. I sweet-talked the lady at the gold counter and got it for the entire trip for $50 more per day than a compact :-o she also did it as an upgrade, which gave me unlimited miles, booking it

And just wait for the bootlooping to kick in. Owned 2, both bootlooped.
