I agree... But we are talking 1, ok maybe a handful of VW owners being shady. When VW had a whole damn engineering department, managers, probably suppliers etc all colluding to fraud the government and consumers.... So I guess VW is a damn kindergarten :-)

I don’t disagree. But the fact was VW was not a buncha decent human beings and screwed a bunch of people, which is the whole damn reason the judges got involved in the first place, because VW wouldn’t have ever said “you got us guys, we messed up, let us take care of you the customer and make you whole again”....

It seems odd the judge is threatening official action, as if he’s just saying it’s wrong, but currently the actual wording/agreement for the return doesn’t truly prohibit it....

Gotta disagree. Once they are ready, self driving cars could change everything. If I can be productive in the car for my commute what could I do, for many of us does the work day now begin and end some time earlier because we can work from the car? Or can everyone sleep a bit longer as we can shave/do makeup etc in…

Since he didn’t, what if his truck had been hit while he was in the bucket and he was injured? Having worked in a high risk industry (steel) if there are guidelines set by OSHA, or anyone else we followed at minimum them, but more often than not had an even stricter set of rules. Right - but in the end comcast screwed up, they did not follow DOT guidelines. So inexperienced drivers/drivers that aren’t as good at jalopniks got to the top of that hill and said “oh shit” and hit the brakes, leading to their demise. Those that know what they are doing let off the gas and steered through it.... …

But remember, according to those that live there, there is a good uphill just before this work, they had to maintain speed to get up the hill and were then surprised by this work going on. You can’t go 15mph and expect to get up a good sized hill in the winter unless you want to slide backwards....

People that live there stated that there was an uphill that people had to have speed to get up given the conditions, and this truck was right at the top.... signs, flaggers and properly spaced cones/signs would have avoided it...

Actually according to all the peeps on Reddit from OSHA and what not they did violate multiple DOT rules/regulations on lane closures.... Need more cones, more space, signs and I believe even flaggers since they were so close to the road with the truck.... Thats BEFORE you throw in the hill and the snow/ice....
