Agreed. The entire cast is very good and deserves another season.

I agree, they could have done more with it, but since the jury is still out on Season Two they had to bring the arc to a close. They did manage to set up the next story arc so there's something to start from if there is a second season.

I thought the same thing, especially in the middle of the McCarthy era. I would think they'd have a bouncer or at least a doorman and run access like a speakeasy.

OK, as we wait to see the review from AV Club, I'll post my take on the season finale here and just repost with additional comments when and if a review is done.

That was cool! The Chicago Way!

You just aren't watching enough TV man! :)

Yes, they get a lot deeper in the history the previous time travel shows. Granted, I doubt David Rittenhouse was an evil mastermind, but they do get a lot of the minutiae in there and avoid some of the common historical misconceptions.

And having long, unauthorized phone conversations…

They seem to have hit most of the big eras already, so the wardrobe budget could be fudged a bit. Fashion didn't radically change from the 30s to the 50s. The same with the late 1700s and the early 1800s. They were still wearing much the same attire from the Antebellum to the Old West. And Wyatt did get away with…

I think NBC isn't even bothering to compete against Hawaii 5-0 and Blue Bloods. Neither is ABC. However, unscripted shows like Shark Tank and news shows like 20/20 and Dateline are cheaper to make, so the profit margin is bigger.

I have to admit this episode had me scratching my head trying to figure out why Flynn was going back to 1931 to get Capone off the hook in the first place.

Yeah, he did come across as a Type A personality.

Hulu's serious about gaining content. They're even talking about starting live streaming this year.

True Dat

I can think of a lot of things the White House should be especially upset about that have a lot more meaning for all of us in the real world than SNL's cold open every week.

It's like Joss Whedon and Fox. They talk him into doing a series, they get us hooked and then pull the plug.

True. The only reason I can think of is to have a peek at what happens if Rittenhouse succeeds. That might be a good storytelling tool, kind of like Philip K. Dick's "Paycheck."

Brilliant!

They can't risk meeting themselves. However, if they go to the future they have removed themselves from the timeline and can't possibly meet themselves.

True on the motivation to nab Lindbergh. The only reason that presents itself would be that he's part of Rittenhouse. The same reason he wanted to kill Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and J. P. Morgan - trying to take out Rittenhouse one by one. That is his stated plan since he missed out on nipping Rittenhouse in the bud.
