Fleming and Lee were step-cousins. In fact Lee was supposed to play Dr. No but they ended up hiring Joseph Wiseman instead.

I agree, Legends of Tomorrow barely touches the subject despite sending Hawkgirl and Firestorm to the 50s and 60s, where the locals might not have been as welcoming as they were portrayed.
CLOP-CLOP-CLOP!
Time travel stories always are. Paradoxes galore.
Kind of in a way Fleming was more like Sterling Archer in real life than James Bond.
Yes, he was a very heavy smoker. I recall a story about his cigarettes being custom made in a shop in London and that they had three rings to indicate his status as a commander. It may have been part of the description of Bond, but then Bond's personal habits were basically drawn directly from Fleming himself.
Dominic Cooper doesn't resemble Fleming at all, but he has the boozing and womanizing down pat in "Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond." He had me convinced that a man who lived like that would keel over by the time he was 56.
I agree, the rocket would be the first place I'd look.
Wyatt is from Texas, so it stands to reason he calls all women, "ma'am," cowboy style. Kind of goes hand-in-hand with the whole quick draw thing.
I'm going to call Rittenhaus' errand boy "Old White Guy" or OWG.
That Well-Manicured Man! I forgot about him!
WMM has possibilities…
Good catch on Fleming. Yes, he was in Naval Intelligence, not MI-6. He did visit the field occasionally, but yes, he was a planner. And I agree, the only thing that really makes his presence in the episode plausible is the idea that he may have done some things that are still classified.
NBC promoted it for months, but I can see how after a the first few times you began to ignore the promos. I think most people do. NBC is terrible about that.
Go fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!
Touche!
How else could they be mentioned by name in "Weapon of Choice?"
No, I think it was taken as read.
I almost expected the old white guy to light up a cigarette CSM style. I think I'll call him OWG for short.
Solid episode!
