Mx-5 still sorely lacking.
Mx-5 still sorely lacking.
I wondered that myself.
Did someone say cactus?
And you just nailed the EXACT reason that they don’t run slicks. They don’t want you to know how truly slow the cars are. It’s also one of the reasons that while they may run Monaco, they do a MODIFIED Monaco, so that you can’t compare lap times.
“For the 1st time in 113 years! ...”
Nope, I did not. There are so many EV companies that pop up out of the ether I was confused.
Read the article? HAH! :-D

AGREED! Now the question, how does it perform? I’ve seen people try to track stock Teslas, and the batteries overheat, and they end up in the pits within a couple of laps. Even saw a race prepped Tesla S driven by Tiff Nedell fail after ALMOST 1 lap. Then, there’s the Formula E cars, which LOOK cool, but aren’t what…
I’d TOTALLY rock one for track days. It can’t do much worse than the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid that I used to get my racing license. (Car was 1 seater, and I had to have a check-ride).
Yes! The SV. The one I sat in at the racetrack WAS an SV. (Wider body), and with the lowered floor as well. (And I’d STILL require some special work to pass the broomstick test).
(Not the pictured one though, as that looks a little bit too much like the Ariel Atom 500, which had the Hartley H1 V8 in it.)
*COUGH* MONTANA *COUGH!*
Unless you’re big. (I’m 6'3 and built like a linebacker. I fit in my ex-Atom just fine, but the Caterhams are TIGHT, and kinda scary since you can reach down and touch the ground.
Owned an Atom 2, can’t agree more.
And over twice the cost!
Depends on where you live! Mine was legal in Oregon for about a year until the DMV changed their minds.
Them’s some high quality clones!
A blown diffuser? Who’d want THAT? You see, if *I* were wanting to buy one, I’d opt for one that WASN’T blown. You know, so that I didn’t have to fix it. I hear those parts are hard to find, AND expensive.
(I’ll show myself out).
The series hasn’t so much as launched yet, and it’s already too expensive. Now THAT’S progress!
“Stop the employees from drinking, and toking up at lunch” strangely missing from the list.
