It's expressed as 21:9 as a direct comparison to 16:9 and 16:10 monitors. It isn't a recognized resolution by standards comities, but it is a true expression (or kind of true considering that most 21:9 displays are actually 2.37:1), and it makes sense as an immediately recognizable distinguisher of a wider display .

Not a shop. I can tell from not seeing quite a few pixels and I've seen a lot of shops in my time.

Well, I can honestly say that I haven't found much that I want to do with my iPad that I can't do with it. If that means using native apps or logmein to access my desktop, it'a never been a bad experience. I think his argument is garbage. But we are all entitled to our own opinions.

If his argument is "Virtual Machines", how is my argument being "Virtual Machines" any less valid?

Well, first of all, I haven't needed to expand my storage. My 32GB iPad doesn't have half of it's space taken up by the OS, cloud services work on the iPad (anywhere because it actually has cellular data connections) as well as they do on the Surface, and I have yet to come close to using the full storage capacity at

I'm sorry, I missed the Surface "Pro" bit. Probably because it's a product that isn't available to anyone yet, so the rest of the discussions (and the video above) have been about the RT.

I already own an iPad, and my OS doesn't take up half of the 32GB on it?

That may be the case on Android, but I don't have a single app on my iPad that uses the same UI as it's iPhone equivalent. In fact, most of my apps are iPad only.

Clever...

I know that it isn't advisable, but I also believe that legislation needs to be passed that invalidates this kind of garbage. Copy protection has been a mixed bag in litigation, and while I'm not a big fan of the idea of being taken to court, I'm also inclined to believe that I should actually own things I paid a fair

Most likely for the reasons I stated above. There isn't nearly as big a supply/demand issue for a product that sells in the numbers the nano does (and at the price the nano does) as there is for the iPhone.

There is still plenty of room for color in the Apple design scheme. Look at the iPod nano. The new Touch. Smart Covers. The one problem with shipping really expensive items (like the iPad, iPhone, MacBooks, iMacs, etc.) in a rainbow of colors is trying to determine which colors will sell best. If Apple could predict

I'm not positive what all Calibre can convert. It seems to work fine for Kindle and Nook. I'm sure the information is out there somewhere, though.

Nope, though the Nexus 7 is a great tablet. I do want to be clear on that.

Different size, improved build quality, faster wi-fi chipset, possibility of purchasing one with an LTE chipset, better cameras... So, aside from the resolution of the screen and the processor what else is the same? I suppose you could say the iPhone 4s and the iPad 2 are really just the same device.

I use an eye-fi card.

What? How is that related to viewing RAW images on the iPad?

Not for the 16GB models. Is anyone buying 8GB tablets? Serious question, not being snide.

Good deal! You can use that GPS in your Nexus 7 with all that map data that you had to cache since you didn't have LTE. Since LTE isn't an option on the Nexus 7. At any price.

When I buy Kindle books, I run them through Calibre to strip the DRM. Every one of my books is available backed up on my HDD, external HDD, iPad, and Kindle.
