It's fairly capable as long as you aren't expecting to max out settings.

From what I understand, the scripting process has been quite a bit better on this one (meaning there is a script), and it seems like Marvel has managed to really get together a continuity that they don't want to screw up. Whedon's made it pretty clear that everything is leading somewhere at this point, so I'd imagine

Yes, I do zoom in, but I also spend a lot of time viewing the full picture as I make adjustments. The argument that higher resolutions are superfluous is roughly the equivalent of saying that dot matrix printers were sufficient and anything beyond that is unneccisary. Resolution matters to some people, and the economy

Ad what I'm editing are high resolution photos that are intended for print. The closer to print resolution, the better.

Good grief, man. You said nobody needed that resolution. I pointed out a use case in which it would be handy. It has nothing o do with being a Mac. If it were a Windows machine with that resolution I'd make the same case.

The iPhone 5 is already bigger than the "puny 3.5 inch we have now."

Actually, IR is the one thing that I do miss. I never used my optical drive, but I used the remote all the time. It wouldn't be as big a problem if the iOS remote app worked with third party applications.

Also, no tapering.

Hmmm. True enough.

How many of those 13" laptops sit 10 feet away from your face? For editing photos and video, the more resolution you can fit into a screen, the better.

I be they use the space that would have been an optical drive for a dedicated card.

The thought process on the sleep light is that, because there is no HDD or optical drive, when you close it, it's asleep. There is no winding down process. It takes some getting used to, but I finally got over it.

The retina 15" pro doesn't have an optical drive. The 13" won't either.

How many of those 13" laptops have a display resolution of 2560x1600?

Mac Mini, Apple TV, and 15" RMBP all have HDMI.

No doubt, and for anyone who doesn't have a setup that works for them, this would be a great start.

AirPlay does compress audio (from what I understand), but all of my music is lossless, and I don't hear much of a difference between it being AirPlayed over my sound system and my klipsch headphones.

Switching is probably not an option for this person if they've purchased video content from iTunes.

No. x86 software is not written for ARM hardware.

As of yet there is no version of iTunes that will run on RT, but on the Pro you would be fine.
