Yes I would go into the other hotel and you didn’t pay for a FA to sever 6/12 you paid for 12/12 so complaining that your service is suffering is simply you expecting to get something you didn’t pay for. 

But their is simply not a good chance they will be able to get it much cheaper once on the plane. That’s not a real problem the airlines have. Every flight has 10-15 people on the upgrade list. 

You can find tickets for $300 but by time you pay taxes, fees, parking and additional bag fees it’s much more than $300. 

I do this at literally every baseball game I attend. So yes. If someone tells you it’s their seat you just move and no one is even slightly harmed. If all the seats are full then I’ve got one assigned to me to fall back on. 

Which as someone who travels often let me tell you their is almost never an empty seat and their is always someone with a higher status than you.

Virtually every flight leaves with a full first class so that would be a huge gamble. I travel enough to get upgraded and almost never do bc first class is always full.
