I used to try a similar method with my son, to little effect. When he was younger (3-5) I found success in putting a time on everything. He had his little digital mickey mouse watch, and I’d tell him toys went away at 4:53 (random times worked best for whatever reason). He’d keep his eye on his watch, and when it

My son does this game in school and out (1st grade) and absolutely loves it.  He thinks it’s awesome he gets to “play video games” in school and I have to agree with him.  Maybe if they had this when I was in school I wouldn’t have hated math so much.

Try driving in Florida during the winter.  45-50 in the left lane on the interstate (70 mph speed limit) is incredibly common.  I don’t know if people come south for the winter and forget how to drive or what it is, but it’s bad.

While I can definitely see several of these happening, the PS5 or Xbox “disastrous fuck-up” is one I would be money on. Now I am slightly biased towards the Xbox, full disclosure, but I think this console generation will have the PS5 either over-priced (see PS3) or some shit DRM / hardware decision (see Xbox One /

I went through the same thing, or at least similar, and the fine print was that the credit rating the lender / banks were using was an average over a certain amount of time. As of a month ago, when I was looking at financing, my credit score was 795, but the banks / lenders all showed 753. I believe it was the average

While I don’t primarily play games on PC, there are a handful that I prefer on PC as opposed to a console. One thing I never understood, and probably never will, is the freaking out about games being exclusive to Epic. It’s just another launcher. If you could only have one per PC, OK, I get that, but it’s just a

If you aren’t leveled or properly equipped in this game, you sure as hell feel it. Fortunately you can get away with being a couple levels under, but more than that and it can get real old, real fast.

I like to automate what I can, and have already set this up as a routine with google home.  After work, I open my door, say “Hey Google I’m home” which then drops my AC, turns on my kitchen light, closes my garage and now turns on my Xbox and TV.  By the time I have but my bag down everything is on and ready for me to

Even if you don’t want to get your kid into piano long-term, or if they don’t care for it, there are not many better ways to learn music theory than on a piano/keyboard. Once you learn that, you can play nearly any instrument (once you get the technique down.)

The Dark Tower books are the only King books I like. It’s true, they are all over the place story-wise, but that’s part of what makes them so unique (and good).

The dumb thing is it’s all mental with me.  When I’m eating I damn near swallow my food whole, but if I know it’s medicine I just can’t do it.

I can’t swallow a pill. I either chew it, or get kids medicines. Given the dosage, a headache results in nearly half a bottle of liquid Tylenol.

Reading this article I was thinking the same thing. Their work culture is, or at least was, pretty intense. At least for salary-men, their life was work.

I’ve been playing video games with my son since he was 3 (6 now), and it really is a great time being able to share my favorite hobby with my son.  Our favorite couch co-op game so far is Starlink, followed by the Master chief collection.  Playing through the campaigns with my kid has been a blast.

It’s still on the Xbox store, fortunately.  Just got into it last night, figured I better play it before it’s gone as well.

As someone who’s early video game experiences included a lot of Sonic, I’m appalled.  Meanwhile, my son, who’s six and knows Sonic from Smash Brothers, thinks it looks really cool.  I have a feeling this movie is going to have a significant generational divide.  One side with hate it with every ounce of their being,

The scene felt somewhat gratuitous, I mean Captain Marvel just decimated the ship, and she could have blown through everyone with that gauntlet, so the “girl power” scene seemed a little forced. At the same time, it was pretty damn cool, just felt unnecessary.

I had always used the fire chem launcher, and oddly enough, really preferred how it used to be. Since the change, I went with the healing chem launcher, and while I miss flushing out guys hiding behind cover, it makes the game so much easier having a healing skill.

Anthem is hands-down the best worst game I have ever played. Never before have I been so torn between loving it one minute, to cursing it the next. I’m still holding out hope, because at it’s core, there is the foundation of an amazing game.  Once Division 2 released, I moved on, but I’m really hoping to have a reason

I’d be all about another Echo the Dolphin game.  They’re still weird games, though.
