Saying you will give a no questions asked reward means you will give the money, no matter what, if you get your item. It does not make any promises of secrecy or trust other than that.

So you admit there’s no difference otherwise. You’re still imposing a condition on the return (if you’re the thief, I’ll get you arrested) and betraying the trust of the person returning your stolen property. Got it.
you’re avoiding the question: how is calling the cops and pressing charges any different from simply refusing the reward?
...if I’m going to turn around, call the cops and press charges/sue for my reward back, how is that any different from simply rescinding the reward?
i mean ‘sequel’ as-is sounds better and explains what it is.
I sure am gonna miss all the weird contact lenses in this show’s thumbnails.
I’m appalled to inform you there’s a wiktionary entry for it, as well as reddit discussions; at least legacyquels only yielded a bunch of articles trying to make fetch happen.
.
Interesting. Stepping outside this specific situation, do you think if someone returns something for a no-questions reward and they’re definitely and provably the thief, is it wrong to rescind the reward? Is it wrong to prosecute the thief?
It seems very clear that McBride was waiting at the spot she “found” the dogs (presumably a public spot as there was video footage available), and happened to “find” them promptly after the dognappers left it at said spot. It’s very obvious she knew and was probably directly involved; I’m not sure what missing info…
Absolutely nothing.
Legacyquels
I read this site via /latest and it’s hilarious to see a recap of the show followed immediately by a “can we talk about this?” recap of the show.
I need to check this season out; I thought the first season was nice and fun, and the mystery was just kinda the glue to bring the characters together. The second season seemed more interested in the mystery, and I didn’t finish it. I tend to like mysteries for the hang, so the stuff meant to appeal to those who want…
during the first season I thought this would totally be the sort of show that could last years and years on broadcast but only exist as a one-season curiosity for streaming. Glad to have been proven incorrect.
Man…getting a dvd with two battlestar episodes on it, then watching them real quick so I could drop them in the corner box with late pickup so I could get another dvd with two episodes in two days rather than three…why did this model decline again?
Dayum you just shattered an illusion *nobody* had
Fingers crossed for a non-cursed season. I couldn’t finish the last two.
So Kim isn’t good on the show. But also she is good on the show. But, more importantly, she isn’t good on the show.
Maybe I’m not the biggest Wickhead (I might be a little bit: I know the very real and very common term “Wickhead!”), I’ve only seen the movies a couple times, but most of those “five-levels-of-offensive” easter eggs would fly over my head.
