It is a VERY demanding song for even the most seasoned singers.
It is a VERY demanding song for even the most seasoned singers.
It is an absolutely horrendous song musically and the lyrics aren’t much better. It sucks.
To say nothing of the shoes.
It is 0% surprising that you can’t think for yourself.
It’s so cute that you’re pretending to care.
man’s been reduced to selling out arenas and winning Grammys
Pfft, grow some balls man.
If you genuinely think that I was arguing that it’s justified or okay for people to call victims liars because Louis CK’s essay was criticized, then I’m sorry I didn’t state my point well enough.
The letter does sound good, but I think he’s being disingenuous when he says he always asked first. I’m going by memory, but the accounts I remember were that yeah, he asked, but didn’t actually wait for a reply, and the situations themselves weren’t romantic, and the women just thought he was joking or were just…
Yeah, that was my take as well. I have zero interest in ever seeing him again, but he went from contrite to “I did my 40 days in the desert” as if he had turned over a 6 month sand dial and declared the situation over.
I think there’s also a complicated blowback of disappointment going on that certainly I experienced and probably other like-minded fans experienced. I’ve been around these sites for a while. When Gawker first put up an article featuring a third-hand account of a Louis accusation I was pretty adamant in the comments…
Yeah, I had a similar reaction when that statement first hit. I found it to be thoughtful and genuine.
FWIW I’ve read a couple of other reviews of the doc that say essentially the same thing. It’s too much recap that people who would want to watch the doc already know.
There’s no blueprint or expectation for what a return looked like, and it would be silly if he was apologizing all the time, but when the “long time to step back and listen” amounts to returning six months later with “golly that sucked for me” material, it just recontextualizes the contrite attitude of the letter a…
I’m eager to see it. They guy was arguably one of the greatest living stand up comics at one point, if not one of the greatest comedians ever, full stop.
Maybe you should write your own reviews then, happywinks.
Insert Norm Macdonald clip about how he disagreed with Patton Oswalt that Cosby’s hypocrisy was the worst part, but that instead it was all the rape.
The worst part is probably his terrible actions.
What a confusion.
I found it tough to do with whole movies, but watching The Simpsons commentaries was great. Shorter sessions and having generally funny people probably helped a lot.
