I like the idea of seeing Kara just dating more. Like there is a place between being a nun and only dating "the one" but you don't see it a lot on these types of shows.

As you say this is Alex's first real relationship and this is very much the honeymoon period. She's happy and excited but also very uncertain and perhaps slightly too eager to make things work even when there are problems that need to be addressed.
