Actually, this situation happens frequently in corporate america. There are times when a less qualified candidate is hired because they are a minority. While this is not always bad, I have heard stories and actually lived through work situations where a person in this situation had no business in that role, and yet

I’m pretty sure those girls and women most likely already feel female. Just say’n.

Or, instead of people whining that a character that has been male for 30 years is still male, maybe be more upset that there arn’t more original games / stories staring women. There is no reason at all why they should feel the need to gender-swap a franchise that is older than most of the posters in this thread.

Best thing I’ve seen on the internet all day! +1

I hear what you’re saying. However, the vocal majority is rarely the actual majority.

Because it’s lazy. Having Zelda as lead in a game makes more sense.

Based on many posts in this thread, the answer is “yes”. They are also completely off base.

This is the correct take. Gender-Swapping is just creative laziness. We want strong, ORIGINAL, lead females. Lead females with ORIGINAL stories.

*Slow Clap*

Exactly! I wish people could... I don’t know, maybe have an original idea and stop fucking with established franchises and characters. Just because you CAN do it does not mean you SHOULD do it.
