Not sure why i’m bothering..  but Racism?  Her district is nearly 80% white.

And nothing of value was lost. This gutter trash bitch knows jack shit about anything.

Always love it when people come to a discussion of a TV show just to say they’re not watching it.

Get ready for a Ted-centric season (seeing as his was the first set of eyes we had a close up on, I’m guessing this season is going to focus a lot on reconciling things between his career and his desire to reunite his family, especially now that his wife has a “friend” in the words of Biz Markie).

I can only speak to the show since I have no experience in the game. So with that in mind, I’ll approach your question:

It’s interesting, because I look at what you wrote about how none of this shaped Joel’s decision and I think what you cite actually makes a pretty good case that it does shape his decision, even if it’s not his primary motivation.

If Craig Mazin wrote it, I would watch eight seasons of Joel’s Sheep Farm and Guitar Lessons. And I bet that shit would be compelling.

Personally - and I’m not saying people who thinks otherwise are wrong, mainly because it’s impossible to objectively ascribe “right” or “wrong” labels to such situations - I would have made the same choice Joel made, and would sincerely believe I was right, as I believe Joel was. Let me explain this.

There have been so many moments in this series between Joel and Ellie, in their long road to build trust, even love. But that scene between them:

Is it really controversial for him to have opinions that are shared by a fairly sizeable portion of America?

Jordan Peterson has this affinity for saying extremely reasonable things out of the gate, luring you in, and then gradually getting more and more awful. For some reason, IG tried to show me his videos on random Reels until I started blocking accounts. I didn’t really know him very well and thought, “Oh that sounds

A fairly sizeable portion of America” think that black people are inferior to white people and that they should be enslaved to them. I don’t think you’d be so accepting in that case.

“but I am not ready to cancel people”

Anti-vaccination is not G-D politics, I wish people would quit saying and equating that. Having an anti-vaccination stance is anti-science, anti-reason, pro-death, and it GETS PEOPLE KILLED.
Politics is stuff like deciding what to spend your taxes on, not deciding whether the immunocompromised in your communities

Well that's a shame.  Didn't know he was a Jordan Peterson fan.  Boy that's a red flag.

Are we supposed to be too stupid to recognize the centralized right-wing grifter narrative where it’s obvious?

Changes his name from Pugh to Levi to get roles...then watches Florence Pugh get an Academy award nomination and star in Marvel projects.

Some of this sounds like extremely online people drawing conclusions based on out-of-context statements, but I can’t respect anyone who willingly follows Jordan Peterson. He’s not a “deep thinker,” he’s a crybaby.

She didn’t make a one-sided decision. She didn’t impregnate herself. When you have sex, even protected, you do so knowing a pregnancy can result. If he didn’t want kids, he could have gotten a vasectomy or abstained. She told him she wasn’t going to make him do anything—it’s not as if she had the baby planning to hold

Fuckboi Lawrence always waiting in the wings. Ugh. I found this episode really triggering, and it pissed me off how he gave Elijah a different nickname than the one his mom had chosen for him. Fuck Lawrence, man. Hadn’t read nan book nor blog nor sentence on child-rearing, and out here talking about “I’m a good father
