I was really just thinking about the reaction to the movie. I didn’t have a personal problem with the age difference, nor did I have any real problems with the age differences of the real-life examples you used. All I can know about those is that everyone involved is legal, and after that, I’m in the dark.

I didn’t even say I had an issue with it, I just thought it was interesting that many of the same cultural commentators (sorry) who are raking actors over the coals for trying to date 17-year-old girls are falling all over this movie without a mention of the age gap.
