Congrats on the solo! I’ve been practicing, but am stuck on the Cube room. I just get overwhelmed by everything so fast. It’s the same problem I had with the plate room in Pit of Heresy; my instinct is to hunker down in a ‘safe’ spot, which seems like the wrong way to do things. In Pit, the trick was to never stop

Cover letters are the worst. I hate selling myself and I hate formal writing, so it’s a double whammy of “I don’t know how to do this.” If I could I’d just attach a single statement to my job apps saying “Based on my skills and experience, I think I’d be pretty good at this job. Check my resume and call me back if you

Baking my wife’s birthday cake tomorrow. I’m hoping the Chinese we have for dinner first will sate her appetite, so she cannot taste the disappointment.

I am thinking about the cake I’m going to make my wife for her birthday. I do not have a single culinary bone in my body - she’s a great baker, and my job in the kitchen is to just do whatever she tells me, but I committed to making her a cake. She flat out suggested a boxed cake mix, and you better believe I’m taking

I loooove burgers, but part of my “make a lot of small changes to my diet rather than a big one” plan for a long time now has been swapping them out for grilled chicken or turkey sammiches. Which are still good, but I do miss a good burger.

Gonna be hitting Destiny 2 a little harder than usual to prepare for Grandmaster Nightfalls. I typically go nuts during opening week then settle into a more casual rhythm, but our clan leader floated the idea of making a serious Day 1 Completion attempt of the new raid that comes out in September As preparation for

I hadn’t considered the ammo situation, so that’s a good point. But nobody’s going to smack a boss with an orb to set up the Ruinous Effigy guy when they could just be shooting with Xenophage in the first place. The amount of time it takes to set that up loses far more DPS than would be gained doing normal boss DPS.

What do I do with celery? I pass it by in the grocery store and buy M&M’s instead.

I absolutely love this gun. Like you said, it completely changes the flow of combat, and opens up some wild new builds.

My wife and I have always been the “Alone together” type; me on my PC, her on her Switch or Playstation, just chilling out in the same room. And it’s always been good, but we haven’t had a real together bonding experience in a while, until she started playing Persona 5. I was overhearing the story while doing other

Oof, I know the feeling. I’ve got many half-finished games that I want to get back to, Astral Chain and Red Dead 2 primarily, but I’m in the middle of them and haven’t touched them for months. RDR2 in particular feels like such a massive time investment that I can’t justify getting back into it when I have so many

Depending on the letters that he had and the location of the letter he was building off of, “ginger” may not have been an option.

That was my issue with XII as well. I love the combat, but the story was incredibly dull.

Have you watched “The Toys That Made Us”? It’s a Netflix series about toys, and each episode gives a quick history of the rise (and occasional fall) of a famous toy brand. Highly recommended.

FFIX is my second favorite, and I think it’s the last truly great Final Fantasy (though I can’t speak to the MMO’s).

What really bugs me is how stuff like this tends to get chalked up to a ‘passionate’ fanbase. Same thing happened when No Man’s Sky was delayed, some people sent death threats to Hello Games over it, and those people were *defended* by many in the No Man’s Sky community with the whole “Yeah, they shouldn’t have done

Came here for this. Very glad someone beat me to it.

I love leftovers when I remember that we have them. But I am terrible about remembering when we have them.

For Destiny’s 100-rank rewards track, I grind the shit out of it early in the season so I can spend the rest of the time not worrying about that deadline. It helps that bounty XP is so out of whack with activity XP that just stocking up on bounties and clearing them in activities can easily get you 5-10 ranks a day.

Still plinking along in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I’m not really sure what the Dark Souls gimmicks add to the experience, especially since the respawning enemies (at least so far) are absolutely not a threat in any way shape or form, and the areas aren’t nearly as vast or open for exploration. There’s none of the
