I did the same for the dentist. I put it off assuming that society would responsibly respond to COVID, and I could wait a month or two. Now I’m in one of the states with the fastest resurging infection rates, so I have to get to the dentist ASAP before we’re back to a total shutdown. -_-

As soon as I figure out how to deal with burnout, I’ll let you know. My usual methods of “stew over everything while doing absolutely nothing” are about as ineffective as they sound.

“[And yes, I know it’s right there in the name, but after the grimy boots-on-the-ground opening, I’d rather the story stay on that “Jedi on the Run” thing than go back to the cosmic balance of Light/Dark on a grand scale stuff.]”

Just started Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s got a lot of staples I’m not a huge fan of (“slide down the thing while stuff happens all around you,” “look for the very obvious vines/rocks/grates along one very specific spot of wall to climb”, etc), but the overall presentation of the game is keeping me interested so

Lettuce serves exactly two functions: making better foods look pretty, and acting as a lame but healthier alternative to a bun for some sandwiches.

I had a similar interaction that normally would’ve been mundane, but was really enjoyable just because it had been forever. Took my cat to the vet, and the lobby was closed so they had a whole “Stay in your car, we’ll come get your pet and bring them in, then discuss treatment with you while standing six feet away

Food and medicine aren’t luxuries, they’re necessities.

“Works for law enforcement.” Not necessarily a cop. And if they work with a good group, I’m not sure why they’d leave.

I’m confused. Is your position that delivery people shouldn’t wear masks when shopping around hundreds of maskless people during a pandemic?

Considering I have two immunocompromised family members in this household, exposing myself to a grocery store full of hundreds of maskless people simply isn’t an option.

Sad to report the same thing here. We get our groceries delivered, and it’s about 50/50 whether the delivery person is wearing a mask. Considering they had to go through an entire grocery store to get our stuff, they may have been in contact with dozens/hundreds of people also not wearing masks.

Destiny 2 and Animal Crossing, because of course.

There is no universe in which I will ever be a morning person. Partly because, well, no, but also because I spent several years working a 1pm-9pm shift, and I absolutely positively cannot enjoy time before work. I don’t know why, it’s this weird psychological thing where if I know I have work coming up, even if it’s

Wish I could watch the video, because I am getting way too stressed right now, but unfortunately it’s not working.

In my entire life, there’s only one example I can think of where I chose not to kill solely for emotional reasons. In Fallout: New Vegas, I was following Mr. House’s plans for an Independent New Vegas, until he asked me to kill the Brotherhood of Steel in the bunker outside town. At that point, I had Veronica as a

Nothing puritanical about it. There’s a difference between showing violence to make a point, and wallowing in it for the sake of wallowing in it.

Hitting Destiny 2 hard this weekend to get my main within striking distance of the new power cap. Once I’m there I’ll be playing more casually for the rest of the season.

I have no skin in the game for Last of Us, but that was a really interesting read. Sad, but interesting.

For a long time I was ‘that guy’ who said “Even if I disagree with people, I shouldn’t ignore them or defriend them because having my ideas challenged is good, and an open dialogue benefits everyone. Bad speech should be countered with good speech!”

My sense of heat and cold has drastically changed over my lifetime. I grew up in Louisiana, and I could run around all day every day in the summer heat no problem. Then I moved to Utah for a decade, and then Vermont for three years, and it’s like a switch flipped. I can barely be out in the heat for more than a few
