The Extended Cut added the only ending that made any sense at all - telling Starchild to go fuck himself, and hiding all data on the Reapers deep underground so that during the next cycle, another intelligent race could find it and prepare to succeed where we had failed. And despite being a brand new ending added just

Shutting down the company means they don’t have to follow through on actually making the game, and metrics showed the game sold 200k copies, 91k of which were refunded. So that’s 109k at $40 a pop, which is $4,360,000.00 (before Steam’s cut), which is being used to pay off their debts. It got popular enough to sell

Best Dressed: Lucy James. That dress is fantastic.

Please. You don’t just “slip up” and throw that word around unless you use it casually in your everyday life.

That sounds pretty consistent to me. Mods that promote bigotry and hate get booted off. Mods that don’t get to stay.

Any tale worth telling has its ups and downs, and if you’re save scumming to circumvent that, you’re changing what makes these adventures interesting. There’s no heart to the story of a warrior who never makes a mistake and who suffers no tragedy.

Disagree on Infinite/Burial at Sea’s endings. I know it’s down to preference - as you said, you preferred the literal to the cerebral - but to me Burial at Sea just felt like gilding the lily.

Agreed, even as someone who doesn’t like the AC games. That was a truly great moment.

Lots of blasphemy here, but I’ll let it slide because proper due is given to Final Fantasy X-2. It’s a criminally underappreciated game.

Stop using words you don’t understand.

I’m down for the action combat, it was one of XV’s best features. And considering how XV’s world was so empty and pointless, I’m OK with them narrowing the scope.

Rey and Kylo’s role in the movie should have ended after the throne room showdown, which could have led to a MUCH more exciting sequel (and a lot more speculation about what was going to happen next).

Pulling the “I don’t know the Terran way to say this basic thing” but then saying shit like “guns a-blazin” and “trust fall” really makes it feel like they didn’t think through the nature of these characters or their people at all, they just tried to write quips and failed at it, which is deeply out of step with the

Agreed on it being a mixed bag. I actually really like the campagn from a gameplay standpoint. There have been a lot of fun and memorable encounters.

Glad to see I’m not alone in the universe. I was honestly baffled at how hard the story leaned into the whole Shadow Karja/Sun-King nonsense. I was there for the mystery of what happened to this world and how Aloy’s lineage figured into it; I could not possibly have cared any less about the rest of it.

My favorite part of their argument is their inability to understand that homosexuals can still engage in heterosexual intercourse, still get pregnant, and still deliver babies. We also have sperm banks, artificial insemination, and other methods.

God, yes, please. They could strip Survival from the game wholesale, charge $20 for it standalone, and I would buy it (again) in a heartbeat.

I’ve looked everywhere but I can’t find an answer to this (I never played the first Warzone, so this is all new to me). I’ve picked my perk package (Specter), but I don’t know if/when the perks are actually in effect. When I drop in at the start of a new match, do I have any perks activated? Or are they all disabled

As far as I’m concerned, the hastily added 4th ending - humanity loses, and Liara buries a cache of information on the Reapers so the next Cycle has a better chance of winning - is the canonical ending. Mainly because all the other ones were absurd.
