My situation differs. Anything over 6 hours of sleep is enough for me. I have two full-time jobs. On a good night, I have a 6 hour window to get sleep during the week. I usually get 4. I’m not tired all day as long as I stay busy. As soon as I sit for a long period, I start to get tired. I average 19,000 steps a day

I recommend a restaurant called Angry Dog in Dallas. Great burgers and hot dogs. Family friendly and has a large selection of beers on tap. Also 40 miles north of Dallas in McKinney, the Mckinney Pub is a very chill place to have a beer. Texas has a lot of local craft beers that are worth a try.

I always heard horror stories about asbestos. My Grandpa got lung cancer that he blamed on asbestos from his days in construction. So here I am years later and freak out that the aircraft heater I'm rebuilding has a white donut called an asbestos seal.

I forgot what comedian I heard this from but I always answer the call and talk to a person and tell him that I'm on the other line with another scammer.

I grew up in LA and haven’t lived there in quite some time. I have many memories of going to Dodger Stadium as a kid and love the area in the parking lot that overlooks Downtown as shown in Furious 7. As a kid, you stayed away from Echo Park. A lot has changed.

My Mom’s ‘95 Astro Van that looked similar to this. 3-point turns were a sum’ bitch

I’m a civil service employee. I know the common thought is many of us are bureaucratic paper pushers. In my case, that isn’t true. Many of the Instructor Pilots in the Army’s flight school program are civil service, and I am the one in charge of flight standardization that trains crew chiefs and flight engineers. In

I work for a small aviation maintenance company with less than 200 employees. The company had a contract with a govt agency that was renewed this summer. Well we were pushing more aircraft out the door than what was coming in. They just laid off about 18 employees on Tuesday. We had a company wide gathering and

I can only speak from my army experience in that our flight operations has the keys to each aircraft as well as a fuel card for each aircraft. Pilots sign out the card when they plan on refueling outside of normal training areas.

There will be an investigation, even more so because this one received lots of attention. Each member of the crew will be interviewed and the last 72 hours of their lives will be scrutinized to find contributing factors. They will most likely have to recreate the flight with an investigator present and will be

Common procedures would be for the crewmember to countdown the turn for the pilots. For example, “continue forward 10, 9, 8....nose clear right, tail clear left.” Or something of that nature. I do it all of the time. However, I am not sure if the pilots even cleared the turn with the crew chief because if the Navy may

I commented about this on another blog and I placed blame on the Crew Chief that was just sitting there looking cool. I train Army CH-47 Flight Engineers and Crew Chiefs for a living and one of his duties is to maintain aircraft surveillance (scanning). I’m pretty sure the pilots discussed a taxi plan after landing.

I’m an aircraft mechanic and I have a problem with fuel and proseal. My wife soaks my fuel soaked clothes in purple power and washes them. It usually takes 2 wash cycles. Proseal just stains and I doubt there is anything that will take it off of clothing. If anyone is familiar with proseal and has tips for removal on

Because when all else fails, switch to insults and hope to god everyone just leaves you alone, right?

I like to ease into my day. I wake up early and take my time getting going. My alarm is Venice Queen by RHCP.

I use the same. I press ALT and then use the number pad. I have an ñ in my last name and once in a while I will bust it out

Correct. Fort Rucker brought me here and ended up staying after I got out of the Army. I’ll be sure to wave at the boll weevil for you
