Do you get the transit/sprinter pick up bodies in the US?
But why buy this Shiny new factory when you can get this low use Mitsubishi one for half the price!
The name is because SAIC bought the rights to build the Rover 75 and 25 after Rover went bust, but Ford bought the name to protect the Land Rover brand.
I’m not sure Citroen have ever been about sparking handling. I think more along the lines of Comfort.
Surely SEAT has got to be facing the axe? VW have Skoda for the lower price segment, SEAT aren’t doing much to stand out. Sales are down 10% YTD compared to last year in the UK.
This. If the pedals are spaced right you can use either side of your right foot. Suzuki figured this out in their cheap cars from 15 years ago.
YMMV with your local users, but if you are doing by auction you will have to list it several times as the winner will never bother getting in touch, Their Dog/Child/Brother bid on it, or they don’t want it anymore.
I’ve bought a few cars on eBay, all unseen, all at the low end of the market. Mostly worked out OK, apart from one grenading bottom end.
Radio display is the screen on the top of the dash. Renault used variations on that unit in loads of stuff. Still in some of the vans, now with nav and a screen where the rear view mirror is.
3500KGs is a common rating for this type of vehicle. It’s to do with the maximum rating before you need additional testing and licencing. Defender/LR4/Most of the other pickups are all rated to tow 3500kg
A gardening company near me uses a Van version, they also have a variety of old Bedford Rascals.
Yeah, the double wrench idea makes my knuckles hurt thinking about it. If you need extra leverage a piece of steel pipe works wonders. I’ve got a 4ft length that was previously something agricultural. It goes well with the War Department prybar and Lucky hammer...
I think nuts is a bit of an overstatement. I’ve not seen any of the new models yet. I do occasionally see some of the older ones. We have also been able to import cars from the US freely, so the people that wanted them can get them. I’ve seen more US imports on the continent, particularly in Sweden than here, probably…
Not really, It’s closer to the series 3, with a leaf sprung chassis. The Bodywork is closer to the early 110 models- one piece windscreen and the old style lift door handles.
If anything it’s similar to slightly the reverse. The late model Defenders have a premium on them as it’s gone out of production. The wrangler drops value faster for the middle aged models, and both flatten out around the same but there is much less choice of wranglers.
Where does my right arm fit, why doesn’t the seat go back far enough, in many ways it’s utterly terrible. It’s brilliant.
I’m not sure he cares. The penalty is a fine up to £1000, but no points.
Last one rolled off the line at the start of this year. The 2.4 TDCI is by far the best version, shame you’ll have to wait 20 years to get one!
