Circa 1957, my family drove to visit some relatives for a weekend. Their house wasn’t large enough for every one, so my grandparents slept in their car (Nash Rambler, IIRC). The front seat reclined to make a bed and the car even had curtains that could be drawn for privacy.

I guess the old saying is true. You can’t drive a house, but you can sleep in a truck that costs as much as one.
