My friend got stuck taking off from Vegas on a Southwest flight. They drank ALL of the booze on the plane. Literally ran out of everything. She said it was rowdy in a fun way and the flight attendants had to tell people to shut their yappers prior to take off so they could give the safety briefing.
The prosecutor from the original case should have their license revoked.
Something similar happened on Oahu last year. Rumor is the lead cop in the 4 Runner had personal beef with the driver.
I take it you are on the run from the law and gotta keep moving lest you get identified.
Or, and hear me out, budget another quarter million and make it all wheel steering.
For real. Though at the time I didn’t find it that bad. Up till then my cars were an 89 Camry and an 05 Frontier. Let’s just say the throws in both vehicles were not very sporty. Wasn’t till I drove a WRX did I learn what a good manual should feel like.
Hah, I had a nearly identical experience years ago when I borrowed my dad’s TJ Rubicon to go up to Tahoe for snowboarding. Prior to that I had road tripped a base TJ on a super long road trip and it was…fine, at least compared to the Rubicon. That thing is butt clenching at highway speeds. Hit a rough bit of road and…
I’ve never understood the appeal of the crossover coupe. It’s for people who like the “safety” of a high seating position yet prefer abhorrent rear visibility?
This gives me the same visceral reaction I get when I see a centipede. Gross
Since Torch is Audi 5000, I think someone needs to offer up a weirdo example. Might I tempt her with a car that revolutionized comfort? Something built to handle post war France’s ruined roads with ease? Yes, the answer is a Citroen DS. This one comes well under her price cap, leaving plenty of room to stock up on…
Ah, stupid kinja killing my link. Here’s a screen shot.
I think you nailed it. A used ES 300h is in her price range and gets good mileage for its size. This one is low mileage for a Lexus. It’s here on Oahu, so not for her unless she wants to add a couple grand for shipping, but if this example is selling for this price here, she should have no problem finding one near her.
Do it
That’s interesting. I’m usually opposed to the idea of leasing, but this might be one of those scenarios where it makes sense, especially for folks who don’t usually owe taxes at the end of the year and wouldn’t benefit from the rebate if they had bought. Buying the vehicle at the end of the lease might not net a huge…
My understanding is the ev tax rebate does not apply to leases since the leasee doesn’t own the vehicle. Maybe some of that credit is passed on to the leasee in the form of lower payments, but don’t count on it. Keep in mind the $7,500 is a non-refundable tax rebate, meaning if you don’t have a tax liability at the…
