I’m jealous of your new couch arriving. We ordered a new couch right before the stay at home orders, and it even got built before everything happened, but now they can’t deliver it (as they’re a local company). So it’s just hanging out in limbo.

We got green garlic in a veggie bundle from a local restaurant, and those are similar to ramps, I think. Very delightful. I already like using leeks rather than onion, so these were even better. Looking forward to the next veggie bundle we’re going to get this weekend.
I like the nice, inconsistent use of lower- and uppercase Es.
This “sprang up” in the 34th Street Herald Square station. I was impressed by the correct spelling, and also that the writer managed to collect a whole host of MAGA conspiracy memes onto one letter-sized sheet.
I’m glad I’ve got a few days off, because I am just straight demoralized in regards to work. Trying to keep a positive spin on things, but it just fucking sucks.
I’ve eschewed my usual jeans and slacks in favor of wearing almost exclusively pajama pants for about four weeks now. I know that’s not super-unusual for lots of people these days, but it certainly is different for me.
I’m not much of a nap person, unless one of my dogs lets me curl up next to her on the, and then I can float in near sleep super easily somehow. So that’s nice, unless it’s like this morning where I’m sleepy but having to work and she’s napping on the couch. Lucky dog.
Been playing Animal Crossing for an hour in the evening. Idk, it just helps me feel relaxed enough after a day of remote uni to go to bed. After that, I inevitably decide to instead sit down at my computer to read a comic volume or two. And then pull out my phone to read a book. So, you can see why I usually wind up…
Also, the Lego Batman and Marvel games are fun, but just a heads up they're a lot more action oriented, so there's less puzzle solving and more "beat up 100 mooks to proceed".
Yeah, I really liked a lot of the small quality of life changes in HP 5-7. Objectives were clearer, your spell wheel completes faster, and the hidden goodies arent as obtuse.
I’m introverted and a bit of a misanthrope, so social distancing has had no personal effect on me beyond crossing my fingers that friends and family are safe, turning my living room into an office, and that no sports/theaters suck. But do I yearn for the daily BART commute of rubbing shoulders with strangers, dealing…
This is 100% a YMMV situation, but my gf and I had to stop playing Overcooked because it was putting too much strain on our relationship. Good luck!
As of last night, it was sloppy joes and snoring dogs that helped refresh us for another day. Today is back to the work routine and just trying to focus on one step in front of the other. Going to be a long road out of this, I’m thinking, so I'm focusing on staying steady. Thank goodness for slow, grindy games that…
Nice, took me about 25-30 hours apiece to 100% both ends of Lego Harry Potter but it's definitely my favorite in the series between the open world Hogwarts and de-emphasizing the weakest part of Lego games (combat). It's a very chill puzzle platformer in that regard.
Might try for rustic baguettes again this weekend, since we’re getting fridge space back again after mini-csa fresh veggie week has ended. I also just realized that this stay at home period might be the best time to try making some pork rillettes that I’ve been wanting to attempt for a long while. Have to look at…
I just started “Blood and Wine” on Witcher 3.
Having just gotten out of the first main area, so far I’m pretending I’m hiking in the Prometheus sections of Iceland (based only on imagination). Though the terrain makes me think of hikes I've been on in Utah, only much more verdant. The overall color palette makes me doubt I'll see any red rock valleys, but that…
Listen, based on the airport I had a 1-hour layover in, Japan isn’t all that great.
Seriously, though, the Northern Lights would be sick. I’m stealing that part of your bucket list.
Last year, we got to go to Portugal, touring the Douro valley. I loved it. I’d love to go back and hit all the museums in Lisbon we didn’t get to, and to spend many more days in Porto and the surrounding area. I got a couple books on Portuguese history that I’m hoping to get into soon, as there’s such a rollercoaster h…
Seize is super helpful, especially for adding a distraction in crowd control situations. Though seizing some of the more powerful hiss or the flying/invisible ones can wreck shop. Spin is definitely helpful for a long time.
