Look, I don’t have anything against the developers myself. I’m glad they’ve had a lot of success and sales with their game, and I’m sure they’re probably decent folk. When I played the game I enjoyed it for the most part, I didn’t like the whole “STAND BY THE DINOSAUR FOR 15 HOURS AND FEED IT NARCOTICS TO TAME IT”…

Perhaps if their game can’t run at decent framerates (also if you’ve never played it, you have no idea what you’re talking about) maybe they need to reduce visual quality.

Oh I know in this game I am no more than maybe above average. I do routinely kill people early, I get good shit, but as the space tightens, I inevitably miss someone who will see and kill me, or get into a bad firefight. Alas lol

EVE isn’t really a contest though. It’s basically ruthless capitalism all the way, with no laws against scamming people lol. Still awesome though.

This expectation that you’re going to get the same level of performance as, say, a Titanfall 2 or a Horizon Zero Dawn or a Final Fantasy XV - each of which may have had a hundred coders or more on the title alone - is mean-spirited and wrongheaded.

That’s the thing, I’m not really bad at that! Like, I’ll get into the teens, and I’ll have pretty decent gear, usually 4-5 kills under my belt (sometimes more or less, just depends on the frequency of confrontations), but like our dear friend Nathan here, I just end up on the fast train to goddamn Chokeville.

I actually find myself agreeing with you, at least with regards to some places in the US, but not others. American educations vary *wildly* by state, and by community at that. I count myself lucky to have had mine, tbh.
