Our “M.O.” as you put it was literally fabricated by the very websites we’re reading right now.

I mean, yes, RalphRetort did look into claims of journalistic favoritism and what not, and had been linked to on KiA but those days are long, long passed. Just because you agreed with a person a couple years ago doesn’t mean that you agree with them today.

That sounds terrible.

This is just like all the Twitter rage at BioWare because they made Cora Harper straight. I saw soooo much vitriol thrown at BW by people who assumed, because of her appearance, that she would be homosexual.

This isn’t “Gamergate stuff”. This is Ethan Ralph of the Ralph Retort, and several other retards being dumb. People who openly admit to posting on KotakuInAction, like myself, find this shit to be a stupid witch hunt. Hell, go look at the subreddit regarding it.

No, the game *is* out on Origin/EA Access, with the Day 1 patch in place for both Xbox and PC. This is the final build, for better or (likely) worse.

I think it’s a bit disingenuous to tie Ethan Ralph to GamerGate, when he has long since been vilified by that community. Go look at the subreddit, no one there likes seeing this shit any more than you do. Even *if* she worked on the animations (and I don’t think she did, I think she only worked at the EA Capture

For sure, I like moral dilemmas too as long as I can be an immoral dickbag.

Ok so, in order to have good writing, a common rule is called “Show, don’t tell.”

It’s like they design the UI for consoles, then they realize WAIT PC PLAYERS NEED TO NAVIGATE MENUS TOO one day before launch and set the office janitor to the task.

Makes sense, and yeah, there is always frustration in BioWare games...I’m just wondering if Andromeda is the game where the flaws outweigh whatever goodness they’ve cooked up in that pot.

Yeah I don’t think Kinja lets you black out entire sections of text otherwise I would, and I wasn’t going to throw out a giant SPOILER and then like 12 lines of nothing to stop people from seeing what has been essentially an open secret forever. The marketing and trailers are like “YOU ARE THE PATHFINDER” and then

I personally thought DA:O was pretty solidly built, myself. Had a fairly functional UI (especially on PC), controlled more like a Baldur’s Gate game, inventory system wasn’t ass, and (especially this), the world was darker, grittier, and wholly unfair. Certain races were beaten down, like the “city elves”, and

This game should have started back on earth as part of the initiative, it would have given you some time to establish Ryder as a recruit and introduce some of the key npc’s including your family.

I feel like people gave Mass Effect 1 some slack because, well, it was 2007, it was a fairly innovative game, and BioWare was a smaller studio then.

I don’t get why I’m still enjoying it, and why I’m excited to continue my trial, and, well, probably even buy the game. It’s probably because I’m a complete sucker for space opera, and exploring foreign planets, etc. I’m willing to forgive a lot of bullshit to get cool content like that (and I fully expect this game

Wish I knew. -_-

Oh it’s infuriating. Also, sometimes (I’m not sure which), but I would hit escape, and it would open up the tutorials menu. Then I would have to go out of that, which I think led to either the codex or the journal, then out of that to get to the main menu (which is where I wanted to be because I leveled up and

ME1's UI was really terrible, but at the same time, I personally expect some improvement over 10 years lol.

The UI is absolutely killing me. Pressing M to open the map, only to find that you have to press Escape once (and have a slight delay) to get back to the main menu screen, then press Escape once again to get back to the game.
