David Mitchell does it really well.

The series finale should feature Picard reading The Da Vinci Code.

She’s Tilly with about 15 years of life experience and self-confidence. Less socially awkward, with banter that’s quirk-adjacent, but veers away from Tilly’s tendency towards lampshading her own geekiness. (And I say this as a fan of Tilly.) Frankly, she hasn’t done enough in the show so far to be annoying to me.

Wasn’t Riker always on his case because he insisted on going on so many away missions?

They could replace the songs with more speech time. That’d get things lively again.

Very true. It’s just striking when there’s another song in the same movie that, IMO, surpasses the same over-produced targets as the first song hits and isn’t the one nominated.

Maybe it’s because I’ve played the soundtrack 17,000 times for my kids over the past month, but if I had to pick a Frozen II song to nominate, it would’ve been Show Yourself. Not only is it the better song, it contains most of the high points from “Into the Unknown” too. It would make a more dramatic live

If the Borg Queen had a prettier but overlooked sister, she’d be all over him.

Please let this be the big break Cristin Milioti deserves. My god, she’s good.

Interesting that in one, the subject is looking at the viewer and in the other she’s obscured, looking away. ART 101 FORESHADOWING

Aw man, Jake should’ve been the interviewer in this one. Not that I want to see Jake being a dick.

I knew this would be comment number one.

FINALLY. I’ve been waiting 9 years for someone to answer me.

The Duke of Windsor did not need a capper to his story, or not this capper, anyway. The Nazi episode last season was about as perfect an ending for him as I could imagine. It succeeds at making us feel... complicated about him, without downplaying his wartime actions or brittle attitude. He comes off as tragic in the

The Lascelles cameo was a flashback, so it made sense to use the same actor, but they could have done without John Lithgow coming back for such a short scene. Probably did it because he won an Emmy and fans seemed to lap him up. (I imagine everyone was clamouring for more Pip Torrens too.) All that to say, I agree

Coleman. It looked much more like a glam-helmet right off a Janelle Monae album cover.

Four Game of Thrones alumni in the same episode! How could there not be a coup attempt?

I’ve only watched to this point, but so far I’m loving the dynamic between Wilson and Elizabeth. Someone pointed out in another review that this is a humbler prime minister than we’ve seen, who doesn’t treat the Queen as an obstacle for a change. And I think it goes further than that. It’s like each one started out

If only there were some previous cautionary examples we could look to.

I have no investment in this; I’m just picturing the show runners checking off a list of ideas like “smart phones” and “Viagra.” Bewitched seems like it might actually be better because they’d have to do a true reboot. Now and then, one of those lands.
