While Japan seems to have a better handle on covid-19 than other countries, Sony will not be launching the PlayStation 5 in Japanese stores out of concern for customers and retail workers.

This. Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time (I appreciate From’s other games as well, and I also like soulslikes), but there’s a significant and visible portion of the community that I feel like misses the forest for the trees a bit.

Honestly, I don’t think I trust the Dark Souls community to make a fun, balanced challenge.

The game is quite different from Risk

Exactly! This game is specifically designed to make holding territory almost impossible, and if you try and play that way it’ll come unglued. It’s about feints and lunges and bluffs, not simply moving armies around.

The problem is that you’re looking at it as a “territory control game.”  It’s not.  it’s a bluffing and negotiation game.

It is generally highly reviewed by other people on places like BoardGameGeek. Sorry you didn’t like it I guess, but many people do enjoy it so saying “stay away” is a bad take.

I’m surprised people call it the Fighting Game Community when every story seems to be about how completely unbearable they find themselves, let alone how outsiders find their behaviour.

I think you’re automatically disqualified from “greatest TV show of all time” contention if your eight or so excellent seasons were followed by over two decades of lackluster seasons.
