Have you ever read Sideways Stories from Wayside school? By Louis Sachar. I loved that at that age, it’s about a wacky school and I’m pretty sure each chapter is a different kid’s story, so it doesn't feel like a lengthy novel to tackle.

This happened to me! I had a group presentation due and sent out 5 emails trying to pin down a meeting time. The only people who responded were the women. The men didn’t even bother with a single confirmation that they GOT my emails. Pissed me right off.

Prison and racism is a huge problem, esp among POC.
