That’s what frustrates me the most - these red state voters who completely fuck themselves over by voting against their own interests time and time again, are also the same people who in their personal lives, fuck themselves over time and time again - and blame everything else in the world for their issues.

Yeah, I had a discussion yesterday with someone who is very nice, but thinks burning the American flag, although being a first amendment right (which he agreed with), should be illegal??

My mom lives in California, and has to be starving herself to be involuntarily committed. She’s never accepted her illness, never voluntarily taken medication... it’s so frustrating seeing her ruin her life without being able to do anything about it.

OMG - if it was a bank, your car would have been reposessed so quickly! Meanwhile the credit union is like, “hey, can you pay, please?”

I can second to at least get a pre-approval from a CU for a car loan. We did that, fully intending to use the credit union for financing, and sure enough, the dealer offered a slightly better rate! I don’t think they would have gone that low if we hadn’t had that leverage.

DAMN!!! That’s crazy - I can’t believe your first credit union would treat you like that, and then not even explain why!! I’ve never heard of anyone having those kinds of problems at a credit union, so I’m glad you shared your story.
