What a great and thorough write up, Tyler. Thank you for it. It’s amazing to think that the line between reality and science fiction in warfare is an actual budget line.

Completely missed opportunity to show a tight two minute ad video of a group of people playing this game that quickly devolves into an incestuous orgy, stabbing of someone, and the murder of everyone else. When you say yell “uno”in this game, the other players let you think you win but quickly set you on fire.

They have been that way since the 90s, and I imagine it goes back to its foundation in the 60s.
So when can we downvote articles on kinja... because it’s clearly time to start jettisoning writers who fail so terribly at addressing the real problems causing everyone to march outside in the real world.
How else will we blown away by their cultural triumphs in music, paintings, the Stage, and other arts without that money?
Studio Ghibli films remain a streaming non-entity (until the debut of HBO Max, at least) so if you want to enjoy any selections from their filmography, you’ve gotta pick up a physical copy.

Yeah, Morty is 14. He is underdeveloped physically, living at that strange pubescent age when one doesn’t feel like one is really “a high schooler” and still mostly identifies as a little kid, having survived the trauma that is middle school only to discover that just being in high school doesn’t make him an adult or…
It’s actually on right now, Sunday night with a three episode block from 11 PM until 12:30 AM. OK, so it is being aired in three episode blocks on SyFy every Sunday night.
Actually they’re airing it on SyFy on cable!
Agreed. They may not be using rope, but these are lynchings. Ahmaud Arbery. Stalked. Targeted by one of these dangerous groups of white men. The lynch mob’s presence is replaced and amplified exponentially by the action and transmission of the video recording of the lynching, viewed by so many millions of people. Why…

I applaud Jordan for refusing to be bullied into being political. None of us, no matter how famous we are, have an obligation to be publicly political.
Hold up. It’s way too easy a target to trash Jordan, but what is worse is the utter lack of effort by the writer to research and see what Jordan actually has done for society at large and for making institutional advancements for black employees in the league and in the Charlotte Hornets office and organization.
I think that you are right about it being a boy, not a girl. That’s my fault. Thank you for pointing that out and for the kind words.
The strange part, the irony of it, is that this movie is being slammed during what is for the most part a global “stay at home” situation, and the weird details of humanity all being stuck at home, either jobless or with no schools open, with students only having the option of attending class online closely reflects…
This is an excellent episode, so I have to strongly disagree with you. I politely just want to point out a few things that were incredibly well-written, edited, and shot in terms of the storytelling “grammar” shown in this episode in order to provide an analysis and do my best to shine a light on a number of things…
Same thing happened with The Walking Dead at some point over the last few years, except it was Michonne giving a Sarah Connor from T2 voiceover delivery of exposition. When a television show has never used voiceover to explain the situation, not even once, but is forced to because the show has gone so far off the…
