Disagree with the end of your last sentence. Luke Skywalker, as you said, found a different option: peace and non-violence. That’s how he succeeded in the original trilogy. In the TLJ, once again we see that Luke again saves the day by again practicing non-violence and peace. In the final film, the repeated message of

This made me feel so much joy, to a level that I haven’t felt in a long time. Love and joy. Joy brought from knowing that I will see and hear more of this story and its message of love, understanding, and citizens helping others in a community in times of need, serving others by putting themselves in peril.

Agreed. They may not be using rope, but these are lynchings. Ahmaud Arbery. Stalked. Targeted by one of these dangerous groups of white men. The lynch mob’s presence is replaced and amplified exponentially by the action and transmission of the video recording of the lynching, viewed by so many millions of people. Why

I applaud Jordan for refusing to be bullied into being political. None of us, no matter how famous we are, have an obligation to be publicly political.

That it’s clever, funny, contains a story representative of indigenous peoples, a balanced cast that includes realistic LGBTQ Representation, and no white British people.

It would be so cool to see somebody run with that idea again because it is a fairly simple archetype that can be used to create some amazing stories that remain grounded and don’t have to exist in a superhero universe.

I love that movie so much. I still have my VHS copy.

Hold up. It’s way too easy a target to trash Jordan, but what is worse is the utter lack of effort by the writer to research and see what Jordan actually has done for society at large and for making institutional advancements for black employees in the league and in the Charlotte Hornets office and organization.

I also like to think about it as a more grounded version of Batman, accomplished by replacing one Batman with two people: one guy with all of the martial arts and combat skill to do the fighting and a second guy with the money, hyper intelligently, the brain and detective. It makes the idea of Batman a lot more

Before 1995?

Wow, it looks like we can finally take the information from this season and use it to extrapolate ways to tie up some of the dangling plot threads and big questions starting with the season two finale epilogue scene with William. (It’s been bugging the hell out of me for such a long time now!)

I think that you are right about it being a boy, not a girl. That’s my fault. Thank you for pointing that out and for the kind words.

The strange part, the irony of it, is that this movie is being slammed during what is for the most part a global “stay at home” situation, and the weird details of humanity all being stuck at home, either jobless or with no schools open, with students only having the option of attending class online closely reflects

From a production point of view, and this is a cold thing to say admittedly, the writers gave themselves an “out” by creating an in-universe reason that he will die. In the universe of the show, the characters may have picked a normal day to die sometime in his future. So if Sir Patrick were to die in real life, the

This is an excellent episode, so I have to strongly disagree with you. I politely just want to point out a few things that were incredibly well-written, edited, and shot in terms of the storytelling “grammar” shown in this episode in order to provide an analysis and do my best to shine a light on a number of things

I just want to point out one thing that was incredibly well-written, edited, and shot in terms of the storytelling “grammar” shown in this episode:

Yes, io9 totally does this too. Like I said, discussing canon can be fun, it can add a lot to a series!
