I hope Netflix applies this to more of its shows (as needed). I also hope Netflix kills off the many, many bad series and movies (from the recent “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” phase) and puts that money into its good shows and movies.

Lest we not all forget the television series dedicated to the wearing and using of capes, a Master in Class in How to Cape, and the young man who was inspired by it to live his own Cape lifestyle...

The physcial form of the basket containing “essential” and “best of” movies never died, did they? Not even once Blockbuster disappeared. They just adapted into a digital format, which should send up red flags. It’s not Skynet coming to destroy us, it’s Joe Dirt and Paul Blart.

From what I understand, you get any movies that you purchase at the highest quality at the moment. So for instance, I had a few movies from several years ago that I purchased through Apple that were maybe DVD quality at the time. Now when I go to watch them, some of them are in 1080p, and some movies are now in 4K.

Yes. It’s surprisingly great. I purchased a different kind from Amazon, and it only lasted for maybe a month. This one is rock steady and has been working well for several months with no signs of wear or any other problems. I was surprised at how well it’s constructed to be honest. I’m grabbing another one for a

No love for Rygar, which was released in 1986 and easily became a favorite among our friends for the grappling hook game play? I don’t know of it was the first game ever to have a grappling hook aspect, but it was the first game we ever played that had it, and it was mind blowing when you earn the grappling hook

I am over-overjoyed seeing Murder Bear in there!

Yes, it’s a continued thing, but the show still isn’t worth watching for countless reasons. One reason (and it is a spoiler), and the reason I think the show runners should have been fired (they were), as well as the writers (don’t know if they were fired or not) is that they show violent bloody rape scenes several

And don’t forget when Cap pulled a Clark Kent to infiltrate and rescue a fugitive super hero team:

Here’s the panel you mention. Thanks for sharing the other ones. Such a great sequence. McNiven was in top form.

It truly was great! I have nothing more to say about it because it’s already been said, but since there are an oddly outsized number of negative comments in here, I want to put another positive comment into the mix. It’s easy to troll and make baseless, often absurd negative remarks and call it “criticism”. It’s

I just read it and the comments here. People have pointed out the many ways it was bad, so I won’t belabor them. What hasn’t been mentioned is just how bad the writing of the love letters are. It reminds me of the kind of bad attempts at poetic love letters middle school and early high school kids write. All about how

Yep.

Futurama

Thanks for the recommendation. I see it’s airing on cable currently. I completely missed it. The clip I saw looks great, and if it’s pulling from the Morrison era, that is vey exciting.

That explains the shrinkage.

Not many people remember that this scene was lifted (well) from 1984. Seeing it again in this context in 2018 is rather... nauseating.

Yeah, that was rather distressing to see. I then googled him to see that he was a professor of some sort at a college or two which both made sense (as I’ve lost count of how many burned out film/video/writing/art professionals end up as “teachers” that you have to put up with as a film/writing/media student in school)
