I’ve never been one of those, so I thought I’d give it a try. 1 out of 5 stars.
That is how you tell a good story. We need good writers on these projects.
And I appreciate it. I hate it when I screw up a simple argument with poor writing. :)
I see what you did there.
(I will take my crazy conspiracy person place here as in unrelated places, that is what crazy conspiracy persons do.)
Marvel “Female antiheroes”: you win the internet today!
I agree that there needs to be a long story written for her to get her shit together, and just off the top of my head, I’m thinking someone like Bill Willingham (or someone who has written a long creator-owned independent/Image series) could do a good job of working her through from one end to the other so that she…
Well said.
I ABSOLUTELY remember that, and a lot of other horrible things.
Whatever exactly it is, it looks amazing. If you have to use those peripherals on your hands to form balls of various sizes of energy to perform moves like the “kamehameha”, then I want it.
Thank you for reading, too! I’m reading the Hulk article right now. I’m glad io9 has you for your comic book knowledge and writing ability because you do a good, critical, literary analysis style job, all while keeping it fun.
Yeah, exactly. It doesn’t seem like Spider-Man is going to be in this movie, right? So what source material are they working from? If you’re going to have Venom, let it be Flash because Spider-Man doesn’t need to be in that movie, maybe just a couple minutes at most would be necessary. With this just being Brock, what…
I think there is a completely valid writing aspect to be made about Scarlet Witch, in general and in this issue, suffering one the effects of psychological and recipient of abuse issues (in an issue that also dealt with PymTron’s pyschological and purveyor of abuse issues).
For whatever reason, besides “Iron Man”, as a kid reader and collector, I spent a long time buying all of the back issues and issues of West Coast Avengers. And yeah, Scarlet Witch was grate in those books (as were many other characters).
After checking out the Venom news link, I see that under the black symbiote goo is Eddie Brock. I’m still disappointed that we’re not seeing Flash Thompson (Peter Parker’s original high school bully/later enlisted American soldier/later disabled veteran/and later yet eventual Venom symbiote user himself).
PymTron. None of this hyphenate BS please. They didn’t get married and have to deal with two separate lives navigating two workplaces, honoring family histories, and dealing with two different religions/churches/religious communites as they move forward together in life.
Also because of stand-out stand-alone episodes like “Blink” and “Midnight” (that require no real understanding of the season’s continuity or even the show itself)?
I get it now: Ashoka becomes a wolf becomes Snoke! Why didn’t I see it before!?!
I just got this PSVR game in the mail today: “Star Trek: Bridge Crew”. It looks promising. I mean who (besides haters) doesn’t want to immerse themselves completely into a life on a Federation star ship? It’s the closest thing we’ve got to a holodeck on this side of reality. Even if the game aspect isn’t that strong,…
