I am with you on that. I had very passing exposure, but it was only once I starting watching “The West Wing” that I realized I had been missing out on something great my whole life:

My first thought was:
Wow, I totally forgot that book existed, much less that I’d read it 20 plus years ago. Thanks for that!
Also, speaking of Star Trek and breaking stuff, I’ve already forgotten about whatever this is because Jean-Luc Muscles Picard:
Truly groundbreaking indeed. From what I understand he can’t create anything, so instead he just breaks a lot of shit. And because it’s right under his feet, he breaks the ground, which is quite breakable.
Interesting theory!
So true. Face/Off:
The “Borg Conundrum”: the more they use them, the less effective/horrifying they are.
Yes! Before the season started, I rewatched the last two episodes and asked: It’s a HUGE deal that the Time Lords are back, so what are the consequences for The Doctor (and the universe)?
You’d have to axe him.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Well said.
That was my thought too! I kind of blurted it out while we were watching it: “Oh crap, he’s slowly starting to regenerate!” I believe that he will be dying slowly throughout the season. Or at least hope that as it would be fascinating watching him hide it and spend a lot of time pondering on the existential and…

It does appear though, that it is an unusual or rare event, and that it requires some sort of unknown process involving a lot of Time Lords with power that comes from a group. In other words, it’s not something normal or that every Time Lord gets. It’s saved for Time Lords by other ones and only used in extenuating…
I agree, add at least 3-5 minutes to be safe.
Definitely. Jump right in with this season on the next episode, but if you can, I’d start with the first episode of the series and catch up first. And if you have Amazon Prime, you can watch for free one of the best episodes in years in the penultimate episode of last season called “Heaven Bent”. (You might want to…
With Amy Acker and Stephen Boyer on board as the parents, and with Matt Nix on board as writer/showrunner (?), this is actually promising. Nix knows how to keep a show about people on the run going (see: Burn Notice) for multiple seasons deftly. I hope that it’s not just about them being on the run, with that the plot…
Yeah, I just ended up catching it on cable, and as a fan of the original two movies, it was enjoyably more than passable for a remake. Worth catching for free or a 99 cent rental.
